  Easy & looks good!

  Out of everything I have purchased to customize my switch, this was by far the easiest part.Good quality, feels smoother than the original Switch plastic. Looks good and functions as it should!

  Great shells! Not so great tutorial though...

  Installing these is very easy once you know how to do it. I would say the hardest part of this installation was the lock. I could not for the life of me figure out how it was supposed to be installed, and their tutorial was not clear enough because the video was way too far away and not zoomed in. I was left confused for an entire day until I sat down for hours analyzing the pieces and how I'm supposed to install them. You have to put the lock in exactly like the original, and then secure it with the piece that goes on top of it. After this revelation, I was able to switch all of them with ease, and I don't regret it! They have a very nice feel and soft touch, like all of their products. I do hope that they do not become sticky or discolored over time, though, something that has happened to me with one of their shells before. Nonetheless, the company is amazing because they help you if you have any problems, and that is the only reason I keep buying! Thank you! :)Ver másVer menos

  Easy to install, looks great

  Bought these to finish my attempt at making my OLED Switch look like my Gameboy Color (atomic purple of course) and let me tell you, this looks even better than I had hoped. Compared to the other mods I bought from Extremerate (console and joycon shells as well as replacement LEDs for the side of the joycons), this was by far the easiest to put together. The one locking mechanism seems a bit off but, based on other reviews, I suspect that I just need to remove a tiny piece of excess plastic from it. For $13 these are pretty hard to beat.Ver másVer menos

  I guess I didn’t consider there was no electronics in these, so it ended up taking like 5 minutes to replace both. They look exactly like I had hoped and feel the same as the original, I love them with my pink joycons!

  The lock goes in the second level!

  The product is great but the tutorial was a bit difficult to follow for the locking mechanism part specifically due to the part being very small while the video being zoomed out, and just the color of the pieces. So I'll save you some confusion and frustration:If the main body is level 1, the smaller plastic insert is level 2 and the metal rail is level 3, the little locking mechanism goes in the slot at the end of the second level. (See photo) The tutorial makes it look like its going in level 1 on top of the strap but that's not the case! You have to angle the little piece so you can slide the bigger part onto it. Now that you know this and To it will only take you as long as it does to screw and unscrew everything to put these together, they are that easy! The photo doesn't do the chameleon color justice, it's very pretty!Ver másVer menos

  Easy to install, watch the video

  Very easy to install. I had to disassemble and reassemble one because I got impatient and tried to do it all myself, but kept messing up the locking mechanism… but once I watched the video I got it right and the install of the second one literally took me three minutes. Looks great!! Also, now I have a new tiny screwdriver for my glasses, since the screw is always coming out of that. Nice little bonus. Looking forward to swapping out more parts, though next time I’m watching the ENTIRE video first, instead of getting bored and trying to “give it a go” before knowing what the heck I’m doing.Also, you’re gonna want some craft tweezers NOT INCLUDED; I have small dexterous hands and even I was a bit frustrated maneuvering the tiny spring and a few other bits. If you got big old meat mitt hands, you’re gonna have a bad time without tweezers.Ver másVer menos
