Where to start?……….. We purchased 2 of these for our yard. One for the front yard area, and one for back yard area. We live in a small suburban area with only a few houses on our street. Our front yard gets some light from the street light, but overall it’s not really well lit at night. Our back yard is a bigger size and has a wooded area behind it, so it obviously is not well lit. We had motion detection lights installed a few years ago & they work/worked really well. However, we wanted motion detection cameras in both the front and back yard to work in conjunction with the floodlights. We were going to add to the existing floodlights because they weren’t covering all of the yard ( front & back). We had Arlo security cameras set up and they just weren’t working properly. No matter how we set them, sometimes they would pick up on motion after a few seconds & sometimes they would miss motion completely . For example , we had a delivery to our front porch & they failed to pick up motion and record. A family member mentioned the Ring Floodlight Cam & it sparked our interest. We researched the cameras and decided to give them a try. They have surpassed our expectations! The floodlights light up our entire front yard and our entire backyard- and I mean completely! They cover the entire area(s). The camera quality is incredible. The motion detection is immediate. These floodlight cameras are not cheap but they are not ridiculously priced either. The price point is certainly fair, especially with the quality of the lights, the motion detection & the camera/video quality. And the features are fantastic! For example : 1. You have the option to keep the floodlights on constantly or have them off to light with motion 2. You have the option to have an automatic audio saying “ hi, you are being recorded “. Or you can turn that option off ( some people turn on only at nighttime. 3. You have the option to talk or listen. 4. You have the option to link all of your units together. For example if there is motion in your front yard the lights will immediately come on and the recording will sound. If you link your other units to it they will all respond at once. These are just a few of the many features. The level of security these cameras offer is nothing short of amazing. We all know the economy is not good right now, but we plan on adding to these a little at a time until we have a complete Ring security system. If you are thinking of investing in any type of security or motion or floodlight cameras, don’t think twice . Buy these ! They have surpassed our expectations and then some!Ver másVer menos
