The summarized notifications that appear as GIFs on my phone are a game-changer for quickly checking on things without opening the full feed.Superior Quality: The image clarity is excellent, and the physical build feels even more premium than the last gen.Mounting Versatility: There are tons of interesting third-party mounting options available, making it easy to place exactly where you need it.Motion Detection: Works great, and lots of options to customize zones, and type of motion.The Not-So-Good:Subscription Dependent: The primary downside is that many of the "must-have" features—like AI summaries and 24/7 video history—are locked behind the Nest Aware subscription. Great security camera
I have several of these, they are quick and easy to set up, you can personalize the settings to fit your needs. Some of mine are in windows and some are inside my home. They work flawlessly, crisp, clear pics even through a window screen. Price was right, no batteries, these are wired. You can look at all your cameras at a glance, zoom in, zoom out... Peace of mind knowing who is at your home when away and when packages are delivered. The camera will alert you.Can't recommend enoughVer másVer menos

Great camera, easy to set up and use. Very Pricey but worth it.
Have had these cameras since they were created by Nest over 20 years ago. Rotated out older models when Google took over. Own ten set up at this time placed inside and outside. Tried several other brands off and on to test them out but end up giving them away after testing out. These are easy to set up, wonderful pictures and definition, even on phones, tablets, and computers, the advanced subscription has very useful and easy to use features. Videos and pictures from cameras have been used for neighborhood police, delivery issues, locating kids and people and pets, etc. They are costly but considering cost per use ratio they are worth the investment even if one camera at a time. Works with google Home System and apparently with things like doorbells, thermostats and other home items if you have those. Only Fault: original outdoor cameras with magnet mounts worked great. The newest ones have a lot smaller magnet and do not hold. Had to buy L Mounts on amazon for mounting recent newer camera.Ver másVer menos

Great camera, but . . .
This is a great indoor security camera, but it needs a few tweaks. The great part is that the camera's images are sharp, vivid, clear, and good even in the dark. Set-up is very easy with Google Home app. You can customize notifications to your phone from the camera. The price is good compared with the original Google Nest Indoor camera. Now, for the tweaks. First, the range of motion between the camera and its base is too little. You cannot get a full 90 degree angle (important for wall mounting in some locations). Second, the image can only be flipped 180 degrees, not 90-180-270-365 degrees like you do with a .pdf or document. As a consequence, you cannot mount the base on a vertical wall that that is perpendicular to point you want to capture on the camera (think of a cabinet/wall/door opening where the camera must make a 90 degree horizontal or similar adjustment to capture the area you want covered - either the top of the image is on the left or on the right side).Ver másVer menos

Whether it's daytime or night, the image remains clear—with HDR helping to balance tricky lighting and the night vision giving crisp, usable monochrome footage.What really makes this camera feel “next level” are the AI-powered features. Google’s Gemini intelligence brings more meaningful alerts — the camera can distinguish between people, animals, and vehicles, so I’m not flooded with irrelevant motion notifications. The animated previews in the app are a very clever touch, helping you quickly see what triggered an alert.Setup was a breeze. The Google Home app walked me through the whole process step by step. You plug in the camera, scan the QR code, choose a room, and a few minutes later it's up and running. Having 24/7 live view available right away is great, too — no delays or complicated installation routines.I also love how well this integrates with the rest of my Google ecosystem. Two-way talk works smoothly, and I can view the live feed from my phone or Google Nest Hub without any hiccups. The unit feels solid, and the design is clean; it blends into my home rather than standing out like a bulky security camera.Bottom line: This Nest Cam Wired Gen 3 is a rock-solid buy. You get top-tier image quality, smart AI alerts that actually make sense, and a setup that’s painless. Solid Indoor Camera if You’re Already in the Google Ecosystem
I set up this Google Nest Cam Indoor in the dining area of my apartment, angled toward my living room and my puppy’s crate, mainly so I can keep an eye on him when I’m at work or running errands.Setup was very easy and only took about five minutes. I had no issues connecting it to Wi-Fi or adding it to the Google Home app. Video quality looks good during the day, and the night vision is also clear enough to see what’s going on after dark. The two-way audio is clear and easy to understand, which is helpful if I want to talk to my puppy remotely.Motion alerts are generally reliable, though occasionally it will pick up motion from the TV if it’s on. Reviewing clips in the app is simple and straightforward. I already have a Nest Aware subscription for my doorbell camera, so adding this camera was easy, though I do wish more features were available without a subscription.Overall, this has been a solid indoor camera for pet monitoring and general home awareness.
