Outstanding router with enterprise-like features for home users
I've been using this router daily for the past three weeks, and I wanted to wait before writing my review. After testing most of its features and getting familiar with the web interface, I finally feel confident enough to share my experience. For reference, this router currently handles more than 30 connected devices in my home without any stability issues. This includes Smart TVs, Chromecast devices, laptops, smartphones, tablets, smart speakers, IoT devices, and gaming equipment. This router is truly an impressive piece of hardware. The initial setup was extremely quick and straightforward. In less than five minutes, I had both of my Wi-Fi networks configured and running. After exploring its features through the web interface, I can honestly say this router feels like a mini home server. It offers an incredible number of configuration options and advanced features without being difficult to use.Internet performance has been rock solid. I haven't experienced random client drops or unexpected disconnections. The router provides a wide range of settings that make managing and securing a home network much easier. I also like the ability to create user profiles and prioritize network traffic depending on each family member's needs. The dual 2.5GbE ports and the dedicated gaming port are excellent additions. I also connected an old external hard drive to the USB port and quickly turned it into a media server. Every Smart TV, Chromecast, laptop, smartphone, and tablet in my house can access and stream movies and TV shows without any issues.AiProtection powered by Trend Micro is another great security feature, and setting up a VPN is surprisingly simple.Coverage has also impressed me. I live in a 1,500 sq ft solid concrete home, which is one of the most challenging environments for Wi-Fi. Even so, I have usable coverage from the front sidewalk all the way to the backyard. Naturally, some areas of the house have lower signal strength because concrete walls significantly reduce Wi-Fi signals, but every device continues to work reliably, which is exactly what I expected. One of my favorite things about this router is the amount of information and control it gives you. You can monitor every connected client, check signal quality, see the connection band (2.4, 5, or 6 GHz), review link rates, configure QoS, VPN, NAT, AiProtection, and many other advanced features. If you enjoy understanding and managing your home network, this router provides an excellent set of tools.I'm planning to purchase a dual-pack of ASUS BT6 nodes to build a complete AiMesh system throughout my home. This isn't because the BE12000 lacks coverage—it already covers my house very well. I simply want to improve signal quality even further and provide the best possible wireless experience for everyone in the house. After three weeks of daily use, testing, and discovering everything this router has to offer, I honestly can't find a reason to remove a star. It has exceeded my expectations, and I'm extremely happy with my purchase.Highly recommended.Ver másVer menos
