Great TV, shipping times/day inconsistent
Great quality TV for a good price. Sound quality is great, at least compared to the Toshiba it replaced. Mounting was easier than expected. Very happy with this TV.If there's one minor complaint it's that three delivery date was set for July 6th. This needs a signature so sometime has to be there for it. I took that day off to receive it. On July 3rd the freight company (Pilot) called and said it would be a 7-10am delivery window on July 7th. My girlfriend took that day off to be home for it. They didn't actually show up until nearly 5pm, so she could have gone to work that day. That was the only hitch in the whole thing.Ver másVer menos

We Love Samsung TVs!
This Samsung 50 inch QLED Q8 Smart TV has been an excellent purchase. It is sooo easy to set up right out of the box. The remote is good and easy to use, and the on screen directions are helpful. The screen is good and easy to adjust, and it is a great value for the cost.This is the second Samsung TV we have purchased this year. Although this one had to be a little smaller to fit where we were placing it, it is just as excellent a product as our bigger one. It works well with our Dish Network, Sony Blu-ray player, Samsung Soundbar, and streaming apps.Ver másVer menos

A few quirks
I was looking for a small 32" replacement for my existing Samsung kitchen TV when this went on sale and I couldn't resist. I feed this TV using an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max and the picture is great. Colors appear accurate out of the box. There are, however, a few quirks:1) As others mentioned the VESA mounting holes are towards the top of the TV. I had to move my mount up about 4 inches to keep the TV in approximately the same position. I couldn't reuse the screws because this TV requires a longer length to engage the threads. Luckily I have a collection of metric screws but they were too long so I ended up needing to use some standoffs making the whole mount look sloppy. What would the average person do if they didn't have some metric screws lying around? Why so deep? Why not centered?2) I don't like the whole remote control design and operation. In my opinion Samsung wants to offer a modern minimalistic remote with only a few buttons. Great, except to support all the features they now have to make the menu system very complex. I wanted to simply scan for antenna channels and couldn't find out how. I don't watch those channels unless my internet goes out. The operation manual is only available online and didn't tell me how to accomplish this. I guess the TV did this automatically since I do have terrestrial channels to view. To access the TV settings you need to press "Home" then navigate a few menu layers. I found out my old Samsung infrared remote, with lots of buttons, works just fine. Press the "Settings" button and you are there. All the other buttons work too! If you don't like the remote, just buy a replacement Samsung remote with all the buttons for around $10.3) I am a little disappointed with the relatively narrow viewing angle of the 32" screen. Watching directly in front is wonderful, but get off center by more than 45 degrees and the picture really starts to wash out. You can barely see the colors. The first time I saw this I suspected a problem with the HDMI feed. Is this typical for QLED?4) You need to create a Samsung account and login to use any of the features of this TV beyond watching antenna channels or HDMI feeds. I realize this is the wave of the future, but still have a hard time providing personal information just to watch TV. So far I have not seen any obtrusive ads or marketing emails. I hope that holds up with time.I'm only removing 1 star for these quirks because I can live with them - especially since the picture looks great. I'm sure I'll eventually figure out the menu system. I still recommend this TV for anyone looking for a small screen 4K TV. I believe this is the only one available in a 32" format.

Good TV
Very nice TV overall. If you are in the market for a smaller TV, don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this one. This is my first Samsung TV. I have only gone with Sony or LG in the past. This Samsung has a very nice picture quality and relatively easy set up. Samsung also includes a lot of included apps including Samsung TV. So if you are without cable or other paid subscription service, you can access some very nice content through the Samsung App. Paired this TV with the affordable Samsung S60D soundbar for a very nice second TV. Great picture and sound. Remote if very responsive!
A great TV for a bedroom. The picture and sound are great, and the remote is very responsive. It was a little annoying to have to sign up for a Samsung account before I could do much. But once I did, it was great. All the apps seem to run through that app, but you get a bunch of free stuff with it. Though adding new apps was a little difficult because it didn't have a app button to just simply push add. But I eventually was able to get that set up. The last thing is, I want to hang this on a wall mount and you have to buy the exact size screws to make this work. It's an odd size but amazon sells it for this exact TV for $7 It would be nice if they could include that for the price we paid. But overall, I'm happy with the TVVer másVer menos
