Nice scope...functions great and feels good...easy to use.
*The product being reviewed has been provided to me by Amazon at no charge for the purpose of this review. I have not been influenced by anyone as to what to report.*This oscilloscope works flawlessly. I used it on several projects and it returns values that you need to see...some of them you don't want to see, but had to. It's much of it in the Multimeter mode is fully automatic, which is a good thing, if I were not familiar with instruments as this, I would have been fully lost and confused...the instructions only discuss the very basic operation. When I say very basic, again in Multimeter mode for example, it will show you the setting to identify voltage...but NOT the difference between AC and DC. Another point, lost in the verbiage, it refers to the possibility of blowing a fuse designed to protect the instrument. There is nowhere that addresses this fuse or it's location.Other than this...I really liked the instrument as it was easy to use. The leads are not made from a thin gauge wired that will break after only a few uses. They did design it with a flip out stand on the back which was helpful...along with a touch screen which allows you to scroll through the functions as well as setting, easily. The case is very nice, it provides adequate protection for the instrument. All the leads and manuals they provide fit in it very nicely. I'm sure you will find this scope useful with your electronic projects.Ver másVer menos

Useful for Investigating Electrical Problems
My household has four vehicles: a Kia K4, a 2025 Kia Sportage, a 2017 Chevy Volt, and a 2019 Nissan Sentra. My reason for getting this instrument is to check electrical values and signals before taking one of them to a repair shop. I do not expect it to identify the failed part by itself, but it can provide useful information so I can ask better questions and avoid approving unnecessary work based solely on a complicated explanation.The FNIRSI 2C53P combines a two-channel digital oscilloscope, multimeter, and signal generator in a fairly compact unit. The color screen is generously sized for the device, and Spanish can be selected during startup. Its menus are visual, while the touchscreen makes switching between functions easier than navigating everything through a row of small physical buttons. The two oscilloscope channels and the multimeter inputs are also clearly separated and labeled.The listed oscilloscope specifications include 50 MHz bandwidth and a 250 MSa/s sampling rate. In practical terms, what matters to me is being able to view a signal as a waveform instead of seeing only a fixed voltage reading. That can be useful when investigating intermittent electrical problems, irregular signals, or behavior that may not be as obvious with a standard multimeter. The automatic mode also provides a more approachable way to begin displaying a signal without manually adjusting every setting first.The thick outer edges and compact shape make the unit feel suitable for carrying around, and the included case keeps the instrument, probes, and accessories together. However, this is not a device that performs a complete diagnosis by magic. It offers many options, so the user still needs to learn what to measure, where to connect the probes, and how to interpret the resulting waveforms. It should not be confused with a basic automotive scanner that simply displays trouble codes.For someone maintaining several vehicles, working with electronics, or wanting more information before authorizing a repair, this combines several useful measuring functions without taking up much space. My initial impression is that it can serve as a valuable technical second opinion, provided the user is willing to learn how to operate it correctly.WHAT I LIKED MOST:1. It combines a two-channel oscilloscope, multimeter, and signal generator in one unit.2. The color display and visual menus make the different functions easy to locate.3. Spanish can be selected during the initial setup.4. The case keeps the instrument, probes, and accessories organized.THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:1. Getting meaningful results requires learning how to interpret measurements and waveforms.2. It does not automatically identify the cause of a problem or replace diagnostic knowledge.3. Not very accurate, but close for ballpark teadings, etc.

I will say however, not to expect precision for the low price of just over a hundred bucks at the time of this writing.Every FNIRSI signal generator, whether as part of a multi package like this one or as a solo generator, are all inherently inaccurate. This one is no different. I'm at a loss as to why their engineers haven't dealt with this issue. Perhaps they feel it's "close enough."The scope isn't too bad. It can see waveforms just fine, but again, not super accurately. There is a vide supplied on the listing that seems to echo my findings. Again, I can't complain too much for the price, as precision gear is super expensive.Navigating the touchscreen takes a little getting used to but is quite sensitive and has a fast response. Casing is somewhat durable but I wouldn't drop it as it doesn't have shock-proof protection of any kind.If you are on a super low budget and need an all-in-one multimeter / Oscilloscope AND don't mind it being "close" in accuracy, this may be for you. If you are shopping around, but need precision, I'd look elsewhere on Amazon imho.Ver másVer menos

Great source for all your electronic needs

High quality 3 in 1 testing instrument that has great value as a learning tool for a newbie in diagnostics, such as myself.I love the portability factor as it fits in my carryall, as I follow my boss, (aka my husband), through the shop learning as I go. My HVAC Tech Husband Put It to Work
My husband is an HVAC tech and a certified diesel mechanic, and our friends and family are always asking him to work on their cars. So this one went straight to him. It arrived sealed in a sharp looking black box. What sold me is that it is three tools in one. It is a two channel oscilloscope, a multimeter, and a signal generator all in the same handheld unit. The multimeter side handles AC and DC voltage and current, resistance, capacitance, continuity, diode, temperature, and frequency. It also does diesel compression analysis and ECM motor testing, which sounded like exactly the kind of thing he gets called about. It is small enough to carry, with a 4.3 inch touchscreen and a rechargeable battery the listing rates at four hours. It comes with a case, probes, and test leads.
