Amazing performance and functionality for a scope sold at this price.Using this scope for very-high-CMRR (floating) measurements at audio frequencies.Triggering and range of horizontal positioning are sufficient for 1-percent-accuracy peak and crest measurements of 1 V audio signals floating on a 250 V audio base signal (this customer placed the scope, leads and floating audio device into a transparent plastic container of dielectric strength much greater than 250 V).1% accuracy in 250x common mode achieved by calibrating at the intended operating point, i.e. repeatability in this configuration is better than 1% in 250x common mode.Reminder: any measurements that float the scope and leads over 40 V REQUIRE the scope AND leads to be completely enclosed in (for example) a transparent acrylic container (or other material with dielectric strength much higher than the floating voltage).Controls are easy to use; user-interface is intuitive, screen menus are well-designed and a wide variety of measurements and configurations are available.Planning to use this scope (inside of acrylic containers) for floating measurements, and for portable measurements. Probably not a replacement for a $1000 lab-bench-only DSO scope; but an incomparable value for portable and (inside of acrylic container) floating measurements.Ver más

Great scope

I watched a lot of reviews before choosing this scope. It works great for small electronics projects and automotive diagnostics. It is lite and easy to carry. The display is easy to see in daylight and the touchscreen is responsive. Great tool at a good price.

Decent value but flaws that are easy to avoid.

I'm an electrical engineering professor and have worked with scopes from $100 to $100k. This is an amazing device with a lot of bang for the buck, but a lot seems to be copied from Tektronix ("DPO" or color-graded, I think they have a patent). But overall great for students and folks on a budget. I don't like debugging designs for such vendors, but the BIG gotcha is that the "USB" adapter for this is 12V, so if you or your family plugs a normal 5V USB device into it - POOF! Maybe even fire. The wattage is reasonable for a 5V adapter, but they chose to use 12V for unknown reasons. You can see it with one of the same company's very nice USB analyzers.So... Why is this bad?Because you cannot power and USB-connect to transfer files at the same time. That means you have to run ONLY on battery or their 12V adapter when capturing data, then switch to USB to download. If they had used 5V, 3A USB-C, you could have connected it to your computer and used it all day long (or to a powered hub, because it does need 3A at 5V), as a peripheral, powering and capturing data all day long. They could also have put a separate USB port on it for such a connection, where you used their funky 12V adapter. But no.Spectrum analyzer mode is strange, with no obvious way to change vertical range nor units. Most digital scopes have "FFT," which this does, but again very limited ability to change ranges/settings.This stuff (except for AC adapter choice) is just code. There are plenty of good scopes out there to study for ideas... :)So... Great value, yes. Quirky and sub-optimal at same price-point? Yes.REVISED10/25/25 Added One StarStill don't like the power approach (can't run continuously on external power and connect to computer), but I was very surprised at how good this scope is as an X-Y monitor. Nice looking unit, can be used for showing off, but not professionally

I wish I can rate it better, I was hoping for it at least.I had few cheaper Fnirsi oscilloscopes and they were compact and had enough features, but lack on accuracy/usability.I got this unit hoping to use that somewhat professionally.Pros:Unit looks solid, quality is adequateCons:1. Unit has weird UI, very hard to set the triggers, scanning frequency and so on2. It keep resetting to a default Configuration after you power it off-on3. The BNC connectors are a joke. One of my connectors broke off after I simply leaned the device against the desk with the probes attached. After taking it apart it was the barrel shield not fully sealed to the metal frame of the connector on PCB. The barrel part was simply pushed into the metal frame without any soldering/welding. And easily snaps off, breaking the central pin.4. Extremely noisy. The fan works all the time at full speed even if the unit is not heavily used.5. Cannot use any USBC with PD, have to use the supplied PSU6. Cannot use power supply at the time of measurements. Only turns on when PSU is disconnected.7. Battery life is short. If you want to use measurement all day long, will have to sacrifice at least 1/2 time for charging.8. Most important ! The measurements are all over the place. Sometimes it "see" the noise, you wiggle the probes or connector and signal comes back, or you change the settings, the signal is back or shows signal at lower/higher amplitude/frequency. Tried to use the device for low frequency/high frequency signals from 0.1V..20V and saw the same behavior. Unreliable, wrong and glitchy data on screen 90% of the time. I tried probes from more expensive desktop osci and got the same behavior.Ver más

Worth the money

Portable 350 megahertz dual ch com gnd oscilloscope.

I've got kind of mixed feelings on this particular product. There are things about it I really like and things about it that I wish it did a little bit better. One is that the corners don't really have any particular protection. I feel like they could have easily added a softer material to some of the edge trim pieces to give it a bit of a bumper protection given it is intended to be a portable device. But they didn't. I love that it is portable and it has a battery built in and it has two input jacks. On the downside the inputs are not isolated. See you have to be careful to ensure that your ground clips share a common source. If you attempt to do them separately the warning in the manual strictly tells you that you will damage the device. And I think this is a little counterintuitive to how scopes normally work. But you'll notice when you first power it on is that there is a cooling system inside. This thing apparently at power on generates a fair amount of heat. If you leave it to sit for a while without doing anything at all it will get warm. Which is a little concerning. I don't know if that's heat being generated by the screen or by its internal circuitry. I've not tried taking it apart nor do I have any intention of doing so. Although reviews from certain customers do indicate that there is a small possibility that the BNC jacks may come apart and ultimately will require me to take it apart and service it. I'm not terribly worried about that I'm a competent technician. I can easily replace or repair those jacks if needed.If you're looking to see how big this device is. I would say that it is roughly 3 to 4 slices of bread thick stacked side by side the long way. I might also say that you could say it's slightly thicker than an old VHS cassette tape and on the long side if you were to cut a second tape in half that would be roughly the size of this object too. Alternatively one adult male hand.Have no issues with screen brightness. And so far I've had no issues with sample rate or with automatic acquisition of sample. In fact those functions work great. Automatic acquisition has worked great it also has a nice self-tuning function built in which takes about a minute and a half to accomplish and you have to disconnect the probes. But I appreciate that too. It's easy to access the reset functions. It was a little tricky to adjust the screen to kind of get the feel of how to change the scale manually. It's not up quite a standard layout. But I was able to get the hang of it. It would be nice to have sliders or to be allow you use multi-touch. To adjust x and y not just position but also scaling. Rather than having to go into the menus.As of this time we would be 5/27/2006 I have not personally played with the extended functions. Only with the scope itself. So I don't have any review for the additional functions. When I purchased a device they were nice added bells and whistles it was nifty that they are there and I definitely gave consideration to it for that reason. However ultimately it came down to the fact that this was literally the best device I could get my hands on. And those two functions did not play a specific role in my choice. And as I will note later in this review I would in fact like for those particular functions to be perhaps enhanced in later variants.Operational time as I noted that at power on it immediately starts a cooling system in the back end and will get warm even if not used. This to me would indicate that there's a lot of energy being used and potentially wasted that is not necessary when the device should otherwise be in a low operational state. I feel like the device should be capable of being powered on in a sort of standby state where it's fully operational but because it's not actually sampling anything most of the additional functionality is temporarily disabled until put into an enabled state. I feel like this would save power. And this would also increase battery life. As I think I had it running for about maybe 45 minutes to an hour before the battery was completely run down to the ground and needed to be recharged. I didn't actually pay attention to how long that recharge took this last round. So I can't so much critique that. I did notice however that it was very picky about what kind of charger it took. I was able to get it to run on a charger other than the one that the manufacturer included. But for most of my high speed high output chargers it would not accept them. And I don't know if this is due to internal circuitry filtering. Or if it's looking for something else in the signaling. In order to certify that particular adapter.All that being said my reasons for choosing this particular device. Or because at the time that I made the purchase it was the best device I could get my hands on. There is no alternative. I can't get one with a better sample rate that's also portable. They added features of the spectrum analyzer and the signal generator are nice perks. But since both operations execute outside of the operational range that say my employment would make you out of. It is of little used to me on the job or to my employer to purchase more of these devices. So it is great for me to use privately in hobbyist level troubleshooting and in troubleshooting my vehicle. But outside of that it doesn't really do much of any additional benefit.So long-term aspirations for future revisions of this device. Would include some degree of protection around the outer edges to give it a little bit of impact capability. Make it a little bit more ruggedized. Circuitry that allows it to sit power a bit more gingerly until actively sampling or storing data. This in turn may increase battery life without necessarily needing a bigger battery. And lastly if we are to include the spectrum analyzer and the signal generators being capable of reaching into the gigahertz spectrum would be greatly appreciated even if no further than one gigahertz. At least for my line of work.
