Great security camera system without paying electricity bill
I need to monitor activities aournd when my driveway meets the street. A solar panel powered wireless security camera will be a great fit since I have a long driveway and don't want to hire a electrician to install a power line for the camera. Search on amazon came up several products that met my requirements, this wireless solar security camera was one of them, best of all, it came with a 500G hard drive installed. In the package, there's the camera, a mini NVR, a mouse, a solar panel and some cables and hardware for installation. Following the instruction, I let the camera charged overnight. The next morning, I picked one of the tree in my front yard to install the camera and the solar panel. Next, I powered up the NVR, attached a monitor and a mouse, followed the setup screen, added wireless settings, it's online now. To my surprise, the NVR found the camera through the camera network, and I saw live feed on the monitor! In order to monitor on my phone, I installed the app on my phone. The next step you have several choices. You can add the camera only, or the NVR only or both camera and NVR to the app. I choosed to add station only, since you can monitor up to 10 cameras through the station. I scaned the QR code on the NVR, and NVR showed up in the app, that's all I needed to do. Once the system is up, there're settings you can change, such as camera sensitivity, siren, light, alert etc. The camera is capable of capture 2K image, I only use HD to save bandwidth. Night vision worked well too. Now for the battery, I started the night with 4 bars of power, the next morning, still 4 bars. The camera goes to sleep until something wakes it up, very efficient use of the battery power. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this system, and considering replace the other security cameras that I've installed before to this system. I would recommand this system to anyone that is considering to get one. Five star product.Ver másVer menos

Great functionality for low cost
I've had a bunch of different security cameras over the years. Most of the systems I've put in have a fixed camera, even the wired cameras have been fixed. The PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras have been too expensive to justify. Then came the wireless solar powered cameras. I got a couple different models of those. One has a fixed solar panel on the top. That's great if the camera is in direct sunlight for most of the day, but that's not always the case. Next I got a camera with an adjustable solar panel, but still attached to the camera. Better, but still limited. This unit come with a detached solar panel and cable long enough to ensure it will capture the maximum amount of sun possible. The solar panel is also larger than other camera models. I suppose that is needed because this camera does have the PTZ feature! Now I don't have to position the camera exactly right and lock it in position with wingnuts and mounts that will rust out. To me, that was the biggest selling point of this system. But wait! There's more! The base unit comes with a 500GB hard drive. Other systems I've purchases need a flash drive which is not included. And then, one of the prime features, the ease of setup and installation. I shot a video of just how easy it is to set this system up. If you are looking for a feature rich, inexpensive wireless network video recorder and camera with PTZ features, you should seriously consider purchasing this product.Ver másVer menos

Camcam wirless solar camera sys.
Great night vision easy to use and set up pic qual is ok the ptz is super touchy and acts up. All in all good beginers sys.

Great product!
I have been using the Solar Security Camera for two months and it has proven to be a reliable outdoor security solution. I am not a handy man. But after read product details online I found the installation video. Very helpful. The camera super easy to set up and install. I have to say this camera is by far the easiest to use and connect to my phone. The night vision on it is actually very good! The PIR motion detection is sensitive enough to catch any movement. The camera is durable and weatherproof. I’ve had no issues with it staying charged so far.I would certainly recommend purchasing this camera to anyone that’s looking for a good set of solar powered security cameras! It has make me feel more secure when i leave my house and live worry free of intruders or my packages getting stolen.It meets my security what I need. I would suggest reading through the manual completely before taking it step by step. I am very happy with it.Ver másVer menos

Easy setup and good quality camera
Got this to monitor my driveway to backyard, need a little DIY to have this mount on the canopy of my main door so I could pan the camera 360 degree in case I need to see the front of the house, the storage that came with it is a plus just need a PC to have it setup in order to playback, might consider adding another unit soonVer másVer menos

This security camera came neatly packaged in individual compartments as seen in one of the pictures. It comes with everything needed to start-up. From mounting hardware to electronic components. Set up and connection was easy. Follow the quick guide, download the app, and you will be connected. Picture is crystal clear as seen in short video clip. Different featured are available once you get it up and running including 2 way audio, PIR detection and best part is it comes with a solar panel charger.
