  Three hours of troubleshooting and it still would not connect

  I purchased the Yale Assure Lock 2 with the Wi-Fi Connect Bridge because Yale is a reputable brand, and I assumed the product had been thoroughly tested. Unfortunately, the Connect Bridge simply would not connect to Wi-Fi.I spent about an hour on the phone with Yale technical support and went through every troubleshooting step they suggested. Yale then shipped me a replacement Connect Bridge, but the replacement had the exact same problem.I tested it on my primary Wi-Fi network configured for 2.4 GHz and even tried a completely separate LTE hotspot broadcasting only on 2.4 GHz. Neither bridge would connect. I am a former Cisco CCNP, so I am very comfortable troubleshooting networks. When neither I nor Yale’s own technical support can get the product connected, there is clearly a problem.It is also frustrating that, in 2026, the bridge relies exclusively on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and appears to be so particular about the network environment. A consumer smart-home product should not require advanced networking knowledge or hours of troubleshooting just to complete the initial setup.I have now spent approximately three hours on what should have been a 10-minute installation. I am back where I started and now have to remove the lock and install a different product.This was an extremely frustrating experience and nowhere near what I expected from Yale.Ver másVer menos

  Unable to use outside of US and Canada

  This product is locked to US and Canada and cannot be used in other countries. Too bad I'd bought and installed it before finding out I could register it. Not only useless to me but unable to sell on to anyone.

  Product useless in Australia, do not buy outside usa. Invalid serial, cannot be seen on bluetooth or WiFi
