New Laptop User
This is my first laptop. My desktop is en route to my new home with an ETA nine days hence. I knew that I could not get by for that length of time using only my cell phone, so I took the plunge. It arrived in very short order. It was easy for a novice to get up and running and to download accustomed software and anti-virus programs. In fact, almost all of the software was automatically downloaded upon my request during the setup process. I am extremely pleased with it thus far. I am far from computer savvy, but performance-wise it seems in every respect on par with the desktop. My one small disappointment is the maximum level of the audio volume. Although my house has A/C, I like to keep fans running. Last night I was streaming a movie and it was a bit hard to hear the dialogue even with the volume set to maximum. I have a Bluetooth speaker which will remedy the problem. Unfortunately, it also is on the moving van. All will be remedied in good time. I do note that although the details indicate a ten-hour battery life, it went into power-saving mode after about seven and a half hours. I do not know if this is normal. I just plugged it in, so no worries. I may be a laptop convertee.Ver másVer menos
