Great value, lifetime MS Office, pretty lavender laptop
Nice laptop, for the price. I bought this for the lifetime MS Office.... compared to the subscription price or buying the program separately, this laptop is a great deal. It is small, and basic, but if you want a new laptop with lifetime Office, and in a fun color, like lavender, this is a great choice.The accessories that come with it are cheap, I don't plan to use them; I have a 4 tb portable hard drive to use with this, as the laptop doesn't have much memory.As for the slow set up other reviewers mentioned, the same thing happened to me. I followed the instructions, everything seemed to be working great, but then got stuck on the "step 1 of 3 Downloading 100%" page. It sat that way for over an hour. I looked up reviews on other sites, and saw others had success with just leaving it alone. Be patient. I just left it like that for a couple of hours, and eventually it restarted itself, and was able to finish downloading/updating after the restart.Everything works great so far. Good wifi connection, and installed programs, including Office works great (I've only used Word so far, and it is just fine.). YOU MUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED ON THE STICKER ON THE BOX for lifetime Office to work. - see my pics.... on initial setup, it will prompt you to set up the free subscription for Office 365 - YOU HAVE TO DECLINE to install it, that is NOT the lifetime product... then, once the rest of the laptop setup is complete, you will see the Office icons/apps present in the start menu/task bar (Word, Excel, etc). Occasionally, a pop up appears, asking me if I want the free 365 subscription again, just ignore it, say "no".Sure, the setup/download process, and Office process is not ideal, but again, for $299 it is a great deal. If it freezes during setup, just leave it like that for an hour ir 2 and it will resume on its own. Small price to pay for the great deal you get for this cute, colorful (purple) HP laptop.Shipping was fast, came well protected in HP manufacturer box, within outer Amaxon box. Cute little 14" lavender laptop that I use just for Word/Excel, and surfing the internet. A supplement to my main 17" HP laptop I also have.Ver másVer menos
