Finally, a Creatine I Actually Enjoy Drinking

Creatine has been a regular part of my supplement routine for years, so I wasn't looking to be convinced of its place in my daily regimen. What I really wanted was an alternative to choking down another scoop of plain, flavorless powder. This Mango Orange version has made that daily routine much more enjoyable. The flavor is easily the highlight for me. It has a pleasant combination of mango and citrus without being excessively sweet. Both flavors are noticeable, but neither dominates the drink. More importantly, it avoids that overly sugary, candy-like taste that I find in a lot of flavored supplements. It's refreshing enough that I'm perfectly happy drinking it mixed with nothing but water.I've also been impressed with how easily the powder mixes. I typically stir a 6-gram scoop into about eight ounces of cold water with a spoon, and I've had very little trouble getting it incorporated. Occasionally, a small amount settles toward the bottom, but another quick stir before finishing the glass takes care of that. It also works nicely in a shake or smoothie if I don't feel like drinking it separately. The 60-serving container is a good size for me as well. Since I use creatine consistently, it provides a decent supply without requiring me to store one of those gigantic supplement tubs that seems to live on the counter forever.Overall, this has been a welcome change from unflavored creatine. It mixes easily, has a balanced fruity taste, and is convenient for everyday use. If you're already using creatine regularly but are getting tired of plain powder, the Mango Orange flavor makes the daily scoop considerably more enjoyable.Ver másVer menos

  Excellent product

Optimum Nutrition is a well-established brand, and this creatine monohydrate powder offers a great combination of quality, convenience, and value. Each serving provides 5 grams of micronized creatine monohydrate, with 60 servings per container. The formula is straightforward, with no artificial sweeteners, flavors, or colors. What I particularly like about the Mango Orange flavor is that it isn't overpowering. It has a pleasant, mild fruity taste that makes it easy to mix into other drinks without significantly changing their flavor. The powder also dissolves easily, which is a big plus compared to some creatine products that tend to leave a gritty residue. At approximately $18 for 60 servings, the cost comes to just 30 cents per serving, making this an excellent value for a reputable brand. I also appreciate that the product is tested for banned substances, which adds another level of confidence in its quality. Overall, this is a convenient, affordable, and easy-to-use creatine supplement that fits nicely into a daily routine. I definitely recommend it!Ver másVer menos

They nailed it—a pleasant tasting high-quality creatine

I have good experience with Optimum Nutrition (I use their protein powders daily), and creatine is easily my favorite supplement since I started taking it about 35 years ago. What could go wrong? Fortunately, nothing.Creatine is about as close to tasteless as you can get and hides well in a protein shake. But sometimes you just want creatine and water for a light drink to get your creatine in. Proper doses of creatine make for taking a lot of large capsules, so fine, micronized creatine powder is the more practical way to take it. The light, pleasant taste of this flavored creatine is perfect. I put a 6-gram scoop (for 5 grams of creatine) in an 8-ounce glass of pure water, give it a spin with a teaspoon, and drink it down. This summer, I've taken to keeping a pitcher of cold water in the refrigerator. Powders often don't dissolve quite as well in cold water, but I had no problem. Absolutely zero clumping—the powder disperses into the water completely. There is some suspension of the super-fine powder, so I give it another whirl with the spoon as I get near the bottom to take it all in.The taste is just right. The mango-orange flavor is recognizable, and the sweetness is mild but pleasant. I've taken powdered supplements that don't have enough flavor for the amount of water suggested, and I've had some that were way too sweet. They nailed it here.I'm a low-carb eater, so the 1 gram of carbs is acceptable. I like that the sources of the flavor and sweetness are natural, and there is nothing concerning in the product. Creatine has been a staple of my fitness life for a long time; it's a given that I'm going to take it every day. It's a big bonus that we now know it supports brain health as well. There are 60 servings per container. I like this container size because although you can get much larger containers at a slightly lower cost per serving, they tend to clump before you get to the bottom.Ver másVer menos

  Comes with a measuring spoon!

I've used the ON brand regular creatine before from Costco and has worked great for me, so I wanted to try out this new flavor, even though it's a smaller size.My favorite part of this product honestly was that it included a 5g size plastic spoon, so I don't have to pull the measuring spoons from the drawer for my creatine every time, and I can later reuse it in the bigger cans that don't come with one.The flavor isn't super strong, you'd likely only taste it if dissolved in water, but if you mix it with a bunch of other ingredients in a shake you won't notice it. Seems to work just as well as the no flavor creatine, but you get a better bang for your buck with the regular. It dissolves pretty well when I mix it in my morning coffee, but in a cold shake it doesn't as well, so you still feel some of the crunch in its texture, though you won't notice it much if there's other frozen ingredients in there.Ver másVer menos

A Great-Tasting Creatine That Actually Mixes

Creatine is one of those supplements where I generally don't need much convincing. I've been taking creatine for years, and at this point the main question for me isn't whether I want creatine in my routine, it's whether I want to deal with another enormous scoop of flavorless powder every morning. This Optimum Nutrition Mango Orange version makes that considerably more pleasant. The flavor is light, fruity, and refreshing without turning the drink into something that tastes like liquid candy. Mango and orange both come through, but neither one overwhelms the other. I especially appreciate the relatively mild sweetness. I've tried flavored supplements that seem determined to recreate a melted popsicle, and this is much more restrained.Mixability is excellent. I normally use an 8-ounce glass of cold water, add a 6-gram scoop, and stir it with a spoon. Even straight out of the refrigerator, I didn't have problems with clumping. The powder disperses very well, although because micronized creatine is so fine, there can still be a little suspension toward the bottom of the glass. A quick final stir takes care of it.Of course, you can also throw it into a protein shake or smoothie, where the flavor disappears even more easily.I also appreciate the 60-serving container. Creatine is something I take consistently, so having a predictable supply without buying an enormous tub is convenient. The container is large enough to be practical without becoming a permanent piece of kitchen furniture. The Mango Orange flavor is probably the biggest selling point for me. Plain creatine is easy enough to hide in other drinks, but this is actually pleasant enough that I have no problem mixing it with water by itself. If you've already decided creatine belongs in your routine and you're tired of flavorless powder, this is an easy recommendation. Good flavor, excellent mixability, and a convenient serving size make this one of the more enjoyable ways I've found to take it.Ver másVer menos
