HP Smart Tank 7603 Ink Tank Printer | 3 Years of Ink Included | All-in-One | Envi

Smart Tank 7603 first impressions
This was purchased to replace an 8610 AIO that I'd used for many years, had the print head fail, and was unsuccessful at getting a replacement installed. Installing the 7603 differed to memories of older printers. 1st task: connect the computer to the printer via your network. Then Windows uses its own generic "driver" to connect print functionality, then additional from HP download. Get your full documentation there, too. On screen, you are stepped through installing the ink (included 1 black & 3 for RYB colors), then the 2 print heads that resemble repurposed ink cartridges with adapters on top to connect to ink tanks. The ink bottles have special no drip valve connectors, so ink refills must come in these types of bottles and not from pour bottles like Canon uses.So far, I've only printed black print documents, but the print is crisp and quite legible. So far, so good.Ver másVer menos

Nice Printer
It’s a nice printer. Setting it up was extremely easy with the HP app. We’ve printed in B/W and color and both seem fine. We haven’t used it enough to determine the ink life. I’ll update if needed. What I will say is that after you print something you won’t be able to highlight the text right away. I tested it and it smeared. I’m not sure how long you’d have to wait but I printed something and then let it sit in the tray overnight. Next morning I was able to highlight with no smearing.Ver másVer menos

I agree with all the positive comments
I ditto all the positive comments. I had a few problems setting up, but that I attribute to me, not HP. One, I assumed that each ink bottle will last about 6 months but come to find out, the "3 years of ink included" means bottles will provide up to 3 years of printing! (depending on your usage of course). HP has good customer service if you can speak to someone. They even called me back the next day to confirm my problem was solved. I really liked the HP customer service support. I do like the printer for all the positive comments other people have provided. I love the fact I won't be spending lots of money on cartridges now!Ver másVer menos

The item description is misleading.
This printer does not do 2-sided scanning. I run a small business and often scan up to 20 pages with information on the front and back of the pages. It is not time effective if I have to sand one side then manually flip it over to scan the other side. The information on the site was misleading and needs to specifically state that it only scans a single side. Other than that, it was the quietest printer/scanner I have ever had. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my needs. If you don't care about 2-sided scanning it is a great little machine.Ver másVer menos

Love this HP Smart Tank 7603 Wireless All-in-One Ink Tank Printer
We have only had this printer for about a week now but we love it!! The copies are bright and clear. It's fast. We got it in the black color and glad we did as it goes with the other electronics in the room. The inks are easy to use and so far so good. I print a lot of cute ideas for my greeting cards so I need clear copies for that. I would encourage anyone that is looking to upgrade their printer to give this one a try. It's a great price and I don't think you will regret it. P.S. The only thing it does not do it flip the copies when you have a two sided paper to copy. You have to do that yourself. Other then that we love it.Ver másVer menos
