My Favorite Book In The Series! All the stars ⭐️
There are so many things to say about this book that I’m not entirely sure where to start. I have been waiting so long for Kashton’s story and it was without a doubt worth every bit of the wait. I would have waited as long as it took to get more of this man, and would’ve done it happily. When I found out that Chaotic was going to be his, there are no words to describe the excitement I had. I just knew it was going to be EPIC. I also thought I had felt emotional destruction from an author before and felt confident I could handle anything Mother Shantel threw at me. I don’t think I was quite as prepared as I thought I was though.See, what I didn’t take into account was that I had fallen in love with this character wholeheartedly just from the snippets I was given in the books prior. I’ve said many times since reading The Sinner that Kashton was gonna be the one for me. There was just something about him. I didn’t realize that my devotion to Kash would play into how this book read for me. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVED this book. I LOVE IT. I just didn’t expect to feel it as deeply as I felt it. I didn’t plan for it to feel like someone ripped a part of my soul out and left me in pieces. My heart broke for Kash and his FMC!I’ve read every book in this series and those relating to it. I have never had the reaction in the first two chapters that I had reading Chaotic. In fact I can’t think of another book that had me crying before I got to chapter 3. It’s dark romance. I fully expect there to be some dark and shady stuff in a dark romance. I know it’s not soft. That’s why I read it. I enjoy the dark and morally bankrupt aspects the genre provides. This was different for me though, because it was my Kash. The amount of tears I shed for this book were infinite. I’m still misty eyed just thinking about it. And that’s not a bad thing. It was so unbelievably good. The way this book was written, my god. It shows the amount of thought and masterful detail Shantel put into it. She didn’t hold back with this book and I applaud that. Was it hard to read because of the weight these characters were carrying? Absolutely! Was the trauma these characters had deeper than the Pacific Ocean? Again yes! Yes, it was and it was next level. But if you ask me, and obviously if you’re reading this you are, Chaotic is the BEST book in the series and I will stand on that! It’s that good.As difficult as parts of it were to get through, I wouldn’t change a single solitary thing about this book. Not one. I’ll tell you why. From the moment I got through the initial explanation of what the L.O.R.D.S. are, how the society works, and the story began, I was hooked. It hits fast and it hits hard in the first few chapters and does not let up until you turn that last page. The credits are rolling and you’re wondering how to proceed with your life going forward. Chaotic is a rollercoaster ride with more than one hairpin curve. Then the bottom drops out from under you just when you think it’s leveling off. It’s an emotional ride. It’s full of all the unhinged things, but underneath that, the story is exquisite. The love is messy but true. The character development is perfect. The way these characters have grown over the course of the series incredible. And that speaks volumes for the author. Shantel Tessier is an absolute genius. That being said, if you are someone on the fence about reading dark romance. Read the trigger warnings before starting this book. They are a lengthy list. I don’t typically have triggers but had to take several “breaks” while reading to get my mind back in the game. There are some heavy themes in the book and they do have purpose. But always read responsibly.Ver másVer menos
