Couldn’t Put This Book Down

If you enjoy dark romance, secret societies, morally gray characters, and lots of tension, this book is definitely worth the read. The story pulls you in quickly and keeps things intense the entire time with drama, mystery, and strong chemistry between the characters.The atmosphere is dark and addictive, and the college setting mixed with the secret society element makes it feel different from a lot of other romance books. The characters are flawed and complicated, which made the story much more interesting.The writing kept me hooked, and I had a hard time putting it down because there was always something happening. Definitely check trigger warnings beforehand because it does get dark in certain areas.Overall, this was an entertaining and binge-worthy dark romance with strong tension, drama, and an addictive storyline.Ver más

Shantel Tessier did not come to play with this one. 😮‍🔥

A dark, secret society, romance

Another book that I am asking myself why? Why did I wait so long to read this? I NEEDED this book, I have been in my fantasy era for so long, that I was starting to get bored again and this book woke me right up and got me out of an impending reading slump.So let’s get in to It:“I Vow, You Vow, We Vow”As always, this review will be as spoiler free as possible, there may be some personal thoughts on parts of the book near the end of my review that could contain some spoilers however but I will warn you beforehand so you have time to turn back.Tropes ❤️⛓️college romance⛓️secret society⛓️forced proximity⛓️arranged marriage⛓️touch her & ☠️This book has me legit questioning my sanity. We start off learning about the secret society that the mmc is a part of, “The Lords”. Then we learn about the college that this secret society pretty much owns, Barrington University, where all the rich kids end up as it is a private institution. Enter the fmc, Blakely, a rich girl who did not want to go to this university but was forced to by her parents. And in this world, as they are all “the elite”, arranged marriages are common and Blake is already promised to another and so is our mmc. But there are no contracts that are legally binding, so yeah. lol, from there, you can pretty much guess what happens. But it is a wild ride, that I was loving the entire time.Now there may be possible spoilers below, you have been warned.What I liked about the book:- The spice, it was def spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️/5 imo- The character development of both Ryat and Blake. Ryat was just a stubborn individual who was stuck in his ways and was harsh sometimes and did not believe in love what so ever. But eventually he gets “softer”, he is still him, just softer. And Blake in turn gets stronger from everything she endures with Ryat and I love that for her.- The suspense, there was A LOT and I was constantly gasping and screaming and was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The suspense is definitely intense.- The overall story. I love when a dark romance also has an amazing plot and this book delivered just that. I loved the store in between the spicy scenes. It kept me even more invested in the book.What I didn’t like:- The amount of times Blake was drugged, like how is she even still functioning at this point?- The accidental pregnancy trope 🤮 I could understand if they just talked about them having babies in the epilogue, but why did she have to get pregnant during a super intense finale? It was just an ick for me.Both of these dislikes though did not change my final rating, as everything else was so good, that those 2 minor things did not affect my overall thoughts on the book. This book will probably be a re-read every single year.Read this book if you want to read a dark romance, with a secret society, an amazing plot, excellent character development, and relatable characters.Happy Reading :)

Luscious, dark and intense. Exceptional plot with twists and turns on every other page. Equally dark 'trigger worthy' content. Just when you cool down or untangle your stomach knots, the book delivers another batch of incredible suspense and/or spice, kink and has your pulse racing all over again!Ver más

His father was also. Ryat is one of the top seniors in the LORDS class. He has always done what was requested of him. He has no problems doing what is required of him. Ryat was assigned to make Blakely as a chosen even though she is with Matt another L.O.R.D. who never took her or said she was his chosen.Blakely Anderson also attends Barrington University. She wanted to go to another college but her mother made it clear Barrington was the only one for her. She is in her junior year at the university. She has been dating Matt for a few years but they never seem to go further than 2nd base when they are together. Blakely is still a virgin, and wonders when Matt will take things further with her. Blakely doesn't know it when she first started at Barrington, but her father is part of the L.O.R.D.S. society also.Ryat stalks Blakely throughout the book. Putting cameras in her apartment. Tracking her phone. Putting a app on her phone where he knows who is calling / texting her and then blocking that information. Blakely keeps being lied to by Ryat and by Matt. SO very worth the wait!! A rare 5 star read

Wow! I haven’t had a lot of five star reviews recently, but this one gets a 5 without question. This is another series that has been popping up in my feed for months and months and I finally started reading it. I have no idea why I waited on this one either. It was definitely worth the wait. What a great way to start 2025 with an amazing series.Riot is my kind of morally gray “hero.” he checked every single red flag box super possessive, crazy, touch her and un alive traits, and no efforts to give. He was your consummate alpha mail and I was here for every single second of it. I had a hard time putting this book down as he was literally the perfect bad guy.Then we have Blakely. At first, I thought she was just gonna be kind of a doormat to submissive and a yes, sir kind of girl nope! That was not the case at all whatsoever with her. Just comes to find out that her initial boyfriend did everything he could just snuff out her light. This girl had some serious backbone buried under there, and I loved the growth and us getting to turn page by page and see that strength. She was a forced to be reckoned with and stronger than she knew. I absolutely loved Blakely.Her and Ryan are one of my new favorite power couples, hands down. From beginning to end, I fell in love with them, and their chemistry felt real, not forced or rushed, but real. You can actually feel the electricity in the air where they were concerned I love that kind of heat. Speaking of heat… this book was so full of spice and n@ughtiness. I almost didn’t know what to do with myself! I’m always down for some serious smüt and this story served it in spades. I mean some of these scenes, heck, most of these scenes were super hot AF 😮‍💨🥵🤤💦! Absolutely melted the pages of my Kindle and listening to the audio version of it too? I had to be sure to turn my radio way down at any stoplight as Aiden Snow & Meg Sylvan really brought this to a whole nother level. Megan is a new narrator to me, but I’ve always loved Aiden snow and he continued to deliver. It took me a moment to get used to her voice, but as I got to learn Blakely, it fit perfectly for her character.All in all, I’m so happy. I finally picked up this book. Come to find out. I had read a book halfway through the series a couple years ago so we’re gonna have to go back and reread sabotage. But I can’t wait to start this now that I know how it began to see what happens next I really can’t wait to get to Ty’s story. Thank you, Chantelle Tessier for introducing me to this amazing Lord’s world that I keep seeing everywhere and now I can join in and understand what people are talking about when I hear about Barrington University and IV YV WV.
