Definitely waterproof!!
I bought this product because my daughter sometimes has accidents while sleeping. I actually received this 6/12/26 and it's 6/13/26 as I type this review. The first pic with red fitted sheet (circled) shows the pee spot. I took it off to examine the protector I ordered and it had a pee spot too (see pic it's circled). I lifted it up and there was no pee stain on the opposite side so yay it works lol.In the past my daughter had an accident on my previous king size mattress. I didn't have it covered so unfortunately it was a loss in the end.However this mattress when I bought it, I kept the original plastic on and taped it well so it wouldn't be so loose. That saved this mattress from getting wet period.For those that are tired of tossing out mattresss because of pee stains, take my advice and keep the original plastic on your next one and tape it really good to prevent from being loose. This is my second mattress pad like this. I really like them. Not hot in the summer. Not sure about the water protection, which is a good thing. Fit is perfect. I’d buy another one if I had an extra bed to put it on.

Not cooling
I mainly purchased this to protect my new mattress. It seems to be well made and was easy to apply. Time will tell. There is very little chance of a liquid accident occurring, so I have not tested the waterproof capability.What I can tell you is that this is not a cooling protector. It is breathable, so not terribly hot, but there is a noticeable increase in temperature after putting the cover on the mattress.Ver másVer menos

Great Mattress Saver
This mattress pad is amazing. Feels great, washed up well, and it’s a true protective cover. It fits our queen mattress perfectly with its deep pockets. Feels breathable when sleeping and is not bulking. Sheets stay on the bed with this on the mattress too.!
