Wonderful watch for a great price!
I returned the first watch I got, because the speaker wasn't working correctly. What's amazing about that is that I was so hesitant to let it go... despite the speaker being broken! The return was done smoothly. I had no problems getting a watch that worked to replace the faulty one. Great customer service! Now, my review. I tend to start with the things I didn't like and move to the good. So. There is only one speaker on this watch. It's small and weak, but functional. Not something to dance to. You'll need your phone or earphones for music. There are no games on this watch as far as I can see. I wasn't looking for any until I noticed that in the description given for this watch. That was an unnecessary let down. The weather feature only gives you the current weather. It does not provide any forecast...which would be very important to any hiker, camper, survivalist, or outdoor enthusiast. The way around this is just to ask the voice assistant on your phone for a forecast. Now, the good! There is a large beautiful round screen. But if 1.7 inches means 1 and 7/10's of an inch, that's not what I got. It's more like 47mm wide. It has a bright IPS screen even when turned to the lowest level to save battery power. Sunlight is no impediment and the screen size makes the calculator, and other features, much easier to use. And somehow, it looks more elegant than bulky! This watch has an IP68 rating. I've taken many hot showers with it on, so rain shouldn't be an issue. I do think it could withstand some immersion, but not diving, scuba stuff or sauna steam. There are 6 different menu styles to choose from. But, the innovative 'down key' (bottom button) is genius. It lets you choose which 2 applications you want to be able to access quickly, on top of the usual ones you can side swipe to from the watchface. You can go to settings and assign a function for the button to open. The one drawback with it is that the screen has to be on for the button to work, so you have to push once to wake the watch and then a second time to get your set choice. One quick access application you could use the button for is the flashlight! ...which is very bright and useful. It is wisely situated above noon for both left and right wrist watch wearers. This enables you to hold the watch by the band and use it like a normal flashlight. Also, the light shines forward if you look over the top of the watch while wearing it or run with your arms bent. And finally, you can rotate the watch so it's under your wrist and walk normally with the flashlight shining forward. This watch has a ton of sports modes you can track and compare your workouts with. It has the usual blood oxygen, sleep time and heart rate measurement. It also has blood pressure monitoring too! I compared it to my cuff and it was reasonably accurate. Through the app, you can set the watch to alert you if your measurements are getting dangerous. It's not medical grade, but it's pretty cool! The compass calibrates easily and quickly. It would be nice if you could mark a specific direction on the compass that you want to face. That would make it easier for those who pray a certain way, like Orthodox Jews, Hindus, some Christians, Muslims, Baha'is, etc. For distance hikers, it would help to stay on course. The FitPro App has improved a great deal. It was no problem to sync with the watch. There are many new watch faces, for men in particular. You can create your own. By that, I mean you can download your own photo background to which the digital time and date will be added (not seconds). You can't choose other data though to add. You can only pick the color and location of the date and time on the new watchface. (A tip: if you just want to change the color of the date and time, go to the watchface switch screen and tap the settings wheel.)The battery lasts so long you can forget about it before the next time you have to charge it.Hope you enjoy this wonderful watch!Ver másVer menos
