This monitor is insane. I've purchased it solely for gaming, replacing an older LG 2K, 165HZ, TN panel with 1ms response time. If you're on the fence or contemplating it, stop it. Add to cart. Now.Games I have tested this monitor on (PC): The Last of Us 2: Remastered, Dying Light: The Beast, Star Wars: Battlefront II, Diablo 4, Path of Exile 2, Warframe, Warhammer 40K: Darktide, The Division 2, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora* Not only is this monitor 240HZ with G-Sync, it also has built in VRR which is Variable Refresh Rate. Think of this as variable V-Sync. If you are familiar with V-Sync and the importance of having your FPS get as close to your monitor's refresh rate as possible, you'll know that if your FPS drops too low from the refresh rate, it begins making your screen look choppy as hell. VRR fixes this. Let's say you drop down from 240 FPS to 100 FPS for a few seconds due to a big fight or something, the VRR basically adjusts your refresh rate to 100 on the fly to ensure image stability. Paired with G-Sync, this completely removes screen stuttering in my experience. This is huge.* This monitor has built-in anti-flicker. Absolute necessity on QOLED's when doing some high end gaming. Works flawlessly, easy to control from the physical monitor knob, you can choose moderate or aggressive. Zero impact on performance.* If you're wondering if a 1ms to 0.3 difference is worth the purchase, hell yes it is. Might not seem like a big reduction, but when you see it live, there's zero hit in animation transition when turning your camera. The fluidity improvements are difficult to describe without seeing it, but coming from someone who has gamed nearly 10 years on a 1ms response time, seeing the difference for the first time was pure eye candy.* This is a 4K monitor, I came from a 2K monitor. I didn't purchase this monitor with 4K being important to me, it was just nice to have. I game in 2K resolution because I want the most FPS to meet that 240HZ refresh rate. Through your graphics card software, you can easily have your desktop at 4K while your games are set to 2K to get the biggest return on FPS. Alt tabbing from a 2K game to a 4K desktop is also very smooth.* HDR is fantastic. Cheaper monitors will try to shortcut HDR support, the colors will be dull and the blacks will be trash. This is true HDR implementation with plenty of control settings for different variations of HDR. Every game I've played with HDR support looks breathtaking and doesn't cause any fuss when I turn it on. On older monitors that say they have HDR support, like my LG, you would turn it on in-game and would have to do an insane amount of tweaking both through Windows and in-game gamma settings to eventually decide to just keep it off. Not with this monitor.* If anyone is telling you this monitor isn't bright enough, they're wrong. It's a god damn spotlight in your face. It's so bright, I had to bring it down to 40-45 brightness to ensure my eyeballs don't explode. Highly recommend this brightness value for long gaming sessions.* A ton of built-in monitor protection to avoid burn-in. Probably 10-12 settings total. It's clear they take burn-in protection seriously and the settings are not intrusive while using your rig. A cool feature I like is hiding your Windows taskbar when not in use. Good for avoiding burn-in, but also just cool to have it be interactive when I need it. There's also new blue light technology built-into the monitor that reduces harmful rays makes it so you do not need to wear blue light glasses for protection during long sessions which is great.* For those that are wondering if you can see the difference from 165 HZ to 240 HZ, absolutely. For me personally, I've gotten up to 240 FPS on Warframe and around 200 FPS on Last of Us 2, the difference is real and just insane. In combination with the new 0.3 response time, this feels like the highest tier of desktop gaming you can experience. You know those game launch reveal trailers with no HUD and you always know the game will never look like that? This monitor (with the right rig of course) makes that a reality.* If you're coming from a TN panel or anything other than an OLED, because I've never used an OLED other than my TV, it's going to feel like you were previously gaming on a dirty, fuzzy, dusty, blurry monitor and that you can't believe you didn't do this sooner. The colors are pristine and the black is true jet black. It feels like you're looking into a straight up portal into another dimension in most games. If you've played a game for years, this monitor is going to make you feel like you're playing it for the first time again.Quit biting your nails looking over monitor options, this is the one. As someone who games pretty much every day of my life, this monitor has brought new excitement and more immersion to my gaming sessions.
