Perfect Touring Upgrade!

Fantastic quality. Really bright and works in the rain!
Amazing product! I purchased this over a year ago. It's done a year of hard riding in dirt, sand, mud and sideways rain! It's always worked perfectly, and I can't recommend it enough! The screen size is perfect for both my KLR 650 and my KTM 890. When I first purchased the unit, it was a bit sluggish. I contacted support, and they sent me updated firmware with simple installation instructions via a Micro SD card. After the upgrade, it was very smooth. I use it to run Spotify, Google Maps, Gaia GPS, as well as Text and Phone calls. It always works really well, even with riding gloves on in the rain!Boot time is around 9 seconds, and their support is very responsive.Purchase this unit, you won't regret it!Ver másVer menos

Works really well for the money even if the interface is a bit slow.
I'll start off by saying that MOST of the complaints I could make about it have nothing to do with the device itself and are complaints about the Android Auto platform as a whole.The screen actually works great, even in bright sunlight, and is easily viewable from pretty much any angle you'd need to view it from. Colors look really good, and the resolution is totally fine given its size and function. The interface IS pretty slow to respond to taps and swipes (or any touch input), but it's not so bad that it's unbearable.Setup was dead simple in that you just connect via bluetooth, grant it permissions, then follow the Android Auto setup prompts on your phone. However, after initially granting it access to messages, contacts, calls, etc. I ran into an odd problem where no matter how many times I swiped notifications away, they kept coming back every few minutes even though those same notifications were already dismissed as read on my phone. The ONLY way I got it to cooperate was by removing access to messaging and those notifications in both Android Auto AND Bluetooth. I'm not using it for that anyway, so I didn't mind, but it was a weird bug that I couldn't find any other way around. So beware of that, I guess?The instructions recommend a 5V 2.5A output if you're using the USB port, but I'm running it off a rather large USB battery bank that shows output and it only uses around 3W of power, so under 1A at 5V. You could easily run it for a couple of days for several hours a day on a 20,000 mAh or higher battery if you needed to do so.As for the installation, the mount is incredibly sturdy, if a bit kludgy to assemble. No complaints there, really. Overall, good bang for your buck if you don't need dashcams or tire monitors.Ver másVer menos

Excellent display, rugged build and good durability
So far this unit is excellent! Very clear high resolution screen and split screen with two apps works perfectly. Touch sensitivity seems good, even when using motorcycle gloves (with touch pass through on the glove fingertips). Boot up time is very quick, maybe 5 seconds for the device and then another 5 seconds to finish establishing the phone pairing to my Galaxy S22 Ultra. Waterproofing seems to be good, I've washed the bike (690 Enduro R) several times with a pressure washer and it has shown no issues. Obviously I've tried to limit direct spraying on it. Mounted up on a small rally tower with a second ball mount plate adapter, and it's very solid. I ride off-road trails and the clamp mechanism (when tightened very thoroughly) has held strong with no issue. I don't know how it will hold up to heavy off road vibrations over time but I'll update my review if it breaks. I'm very pleased with the unit for the price. I used a few t-clamp wire tap connectors to piggy back on an existing fused cord I had in place for some USB charging ports and there was no problem, fired right up when the key is on. If you don't have an accessory switched power line, you'll need to find/add one as this unit doesn't have a 3rd line to get an on/off signal if hardwired to the battery. The only feature that would be nice to have that this seems to be missing is TPMS sensor support built in right in the native device OS as it boots up before connecting to Android Auto.Ver másVer menos

Works great
Much better than the Carpuride W502 it replaced. Setup is as simple as turning on the unit, all features work and seamlessly integrates with a Cardo Spirit 1 without needing any complicated back door tricks. Stays connected from startup to shutdown, no random disconnecting requiring reboot. Connects in around 5 seconds rather than taking a couple minutes like the carpuride. Touchscreen is very responsive, without the need for repeated tapping or unintended selections. All functions always accessible without interrupting functions. The only downside is the supplied mount is a little jiggly but is easily resolved with a better mount.So much for this device, It died on 01-15-2025. 3 months.Ver másVer menos

Does not have the capability for dual blue tooth or volume control
This device does not have the capability for dual blue tooth or to control the volume. Maybe the software needed was never installed. It can't do what its supposed to do and what I needed it to do so returning it.
