  High cost but gives you privacy

  I work a lot in coffee shops and with sensitive information. One day a barista commented from behind on something I was writing. That creeped me out to say the least! So I looked at reviews of different privacy shields and this one was top-notch for shorter viewing angles. And they were right! This works great. The only thing that is slightly annoying, is if I have it so that the screen is tilting forward because I'm propping up the front for reading, like on the bed, it will start to fall forward from the bottom. I know there is a little bit of tape or some sticky corner angle pieces, but based on the instructions, I really don't see how to use it. And I want to be able to take this off and on when I want. Is it worth the amount of money it cost? I'm still on the fence about that. But I do love it!Ver másVer menos

  Near perfect for a Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Pro 14"

  It is almost like it was made for the Book 3. I tried to get a photo of the bottom corner, sorry for the blurriness. But it is a near perfect size. The magnets at the top locked right onto the laptop without needing any of the included extra stickers.It may actually be a little TOO perfect. Since it does not have any extra on the bottom (see picture) there really is no room to put magnets on it without going into the screen. This is fine because it stays on great without it. However, when I close the lid, the protector starts to pull away and gets tangled without holding it with my fingers carefully. And when you open the lid it sticks to the bottom half of the laptop where the keyboard is and I have to reattach. Still, I will not bother with the extra stickers as this is not a big deal for me. Good thing is when it is closed it does not interfere with the two halves of the laptop.The only real gripe I have is the included protector sleeve is cardboard and not the plastic that have come with other Belkin protectors I have. The plastic ones are much more sturdy and provide better protection. Luckily I can swap with one of them but a little disappointing.Overall though, its a works very well.Ver másVer menos

  Could be better, could be a lot worse.

  My last Kensington screen for the surface 3 laptop was great, never had any issues. I bought this one for my asus zenbook 16, fit is good, it comes with small strip magnets that are easy to install and remove to adjust. My only issue is the magnets on my laptop to keep it closed are stronger and when I open my laptop the privacy screen is just laying there on my keyboard. Never had that problem on my previous one. Other than that, privacy view is about 45° left and right, not much difference up and down. Double sided, one side matte for bright areas, the other gloss for a cleaner view. I've found that the gloss side's privacy works a little better than the matte side.Ver másVer menos

  Great for Office Privacy — Ended Up Getting More for the Team

  I found it especially helpful for maintaining a sense of privacy at work — not just from coworkers passing by, but also in environments where you want to be mindful of how visible your screen is in general.   Didn't work well with X1 Carbon Gen 12

  This didn't work very well with a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Gen 12, which was surprising because it was a perfect fit on a Gen 9 I used last year.When I got the privacy screen it had a slight bend to it so the matte side bowed outward and the glossy side bowed inward, this only made the glossy side usable. What a bummer.If the privacy screen isn't flush with the monitor surface the screen looks blurry so the bowed-out matte side was too blurry to use.The last time I used this there was some kind of clingy transparent film on the privacy screen that adhered very well to the Gen 9 screen. However there doesn't seem to be any and it just hangs loosely over the Gen 12 screen. I had to use the little triangle adhesive stickers to keep the bottom of the privacy screen from swinging out.They do ship the protector in fairly rigid cardboard but I think 3M needs to have a hard plastic insert or something more structurally sound. The package didn't even look very bent but once the privacy screen is bent, you can't un-bend it.That said it looks great and works fine, I just don't like the glossy side and wish I could have used the matte side. And I don't know why it doesn't cling to the laptop screen anymore.So while I think this is generally a good product just know it may not work as intended.Ver másVer menos

  Kensington MagPro Privacy Screen: Great Privacy, but Sizing and Magnet Issues

  Kensington MagPro 27-Inch Magnetic Computer Privacy Screen ReviewI purchased the Kensington MagPro 27-Inch Magnetic Privacy Screen (Model K55419WW) for my Acer 27-inch monitors, and here's my assessment based on my experience using it with the glossy side, as it was advertised to allow vivid colors while maintaining privacy.Pros:Vivid Color Display: The glossy side of the privacy screen does allow vibrant colors to pass through, which is a key feature I was looking for.Effective Privacy Mechanism: The screen does an excellent job at preventing side-angle viewing, offering effective privacy without any significant visual distortion.High-Quality Material: The construction of the material feels durable and well-crafted, adding to the overall sense of reliability.Flexibility and Durability: The 27-inch screen protector is flexible but feels solid, providing a good balance of resilience without being too rigid.Cons:Damaged Packaging: The box arrived in a damaged condition, which was disappointing.Glue Residue: The screen protector had visible glue strip residue on all four sides, which adhered to the white paper packaging. This caused the packaging to tear and left white paper stuck to the glue strips, affecting the initial presentation. I could not clean this off.Magnets Are Ineffective: The magnetic system intended to hold the screen in place does not function properly. The magnets don’t stick to one another or to any other surfaces, rendering the feature essentially useless. In the video, the only solution that worked was to place 2 strips on my screen as "shelves," then perch the other magnets on top.Size Discrepancy: Despite being marketed for 27-inch screens, the protector is approximately 1/8 inch too small in both length and width. This required me to either place the magnets on the screen’s viewable area or slide the protector up, creating a noticeable gap at the bottom that detracts from the overall appearance.Overall:While the privacy filter itself works as advertised, the issues with sizing, ineffective magnets, and damaged packaging detract from the product's value. Based on my experience, I am uncertain whether I can confidently recommend this product, particularly for those with normal sizing needs or those expecting a flawless unboxing experience. Although I would typically return it for a refund, I need a privacy screen, so I am stuck with this purchase for now.
