Updated/Upgraded My Wi-Fi Network
With a router and a modem approaching the age of 4-5 years old, it was time to update/upgrade my network with a bit of future proofing in mind. After doing my due diligence to pair my recently updated router, I decided to go with the Netgear Nighthawk CM3000. The equipment is compatible with my ISP Cox Cable plus supports DOCSIS 3.1.Setup was easy with uncomplicated connections to my ISP and router. A quick call to Cox Cable to activate the modem onto their network was a breeze.After one week of use, the system has been very stable, reliable with no interruptions. I’ve most definitely noticed and enjoyed quicker loading speeds as well as much better latency while experiencing much less buffering during streaming live programming.Time will tell if this CM3000 will provide solid performance over the next 4-5 years before advancing technology encourages me to update/upgrade my network again. With the 12 month warranty, I figure if anything is wrong with the unit, a problem will likely happen in the first few months. I’ll report back if I experience any problems.
