Righting the Hourglass

An enjoyable book that makes you think about the speed of time.

A wonderful story of growing up isolated in boarding school with intermittent close family connections and blossoming into a loving a mother with constant family connections. The theme of time stopping and flowing continues throughout the book.

I liked some.Double sure expression drove me crazy. Could not finish at 99% on kindle. Wanted to love it.

The Righting of the Hourglass

This is an excellent book. The characters are wonderfully drawn, and the story is well written. It is a hidden gem of a novel.

I really enjoyed the first part of this book written from a child's perspective, beginning during WW2 and following the family through the years of boarding school in Nairobi.
