Excellent Compact Design, but $50 Is Definitely Premium Pricing
ESR has been a very good brand in my experience. I own several of their products, and they have consistently felt well constructed and solidly built. This charger continues that impression. What I really like about this design is how compact and self contained it is. I hate having to carry a charging block and cable separately. You have to find room for both, keep track of both, and they do not necessarily store neatly together. With the built in retractable USB C cable, everything stays together in one compact unit. Pull out the cable when you need it and retract it when you are finished. Simple, but extremely convenient for travel or even everyday use.The overall design also feels very polished. In the same way that many Apple products combine form and functionality into a clean, smooth design, ESR did a good job here. It is compact and aesthetically pleasing rather than looking like some of the bulky, rigid charging blocks out there. The foldable wall plug makes the package even cleaner when storing it.I do not think there is much I need to say about the charging capability itself. It performs as stated, and having the additional USB C port gives you the option of charging a second device when needed. My main criticism is the price. At around $50, I think this is definitely at the high end for a charger. You are paying a premium for the compact design, integrated retractable cable, and overall execution. If you can find it for less, I think it becomes a much better deal.Overall, this is another well made ESR product. The retractable cable solves one of my biggest annoyances with traveling with chargers, and the compact, polished design is very well executed. I really like it.Ver másVer menos
