  Roger's remote not working

  Fantastic Picture. Easy Setup. Super Thin and Lightweight.

  Admittedly, our household living room television was a 16 year old, 40 inch 1080p LCD beast with fading screen that has been sufficient enough for us for a long time. Calling this new 55 inch 4K QLED an upgrade would be a gross understatement.It’s thin. It’s incredibly lightweight. And best of all, it’s a beautiful screen. The micro LEDs and their performance are fantastic, to my eyes. I don’t need the smooth motion effects, and they can be shut off, so that’s great. The picture mode I like is the filmmakers mode, which is truly excellent and I haven’t once needed to any of the specific settings beyond that. We are both in awe of how far televisions have come over the last 15+ years. Setup took a few minutes, but was simple and aided by the Amazon Fire linked accounts we already had. Minor gripe that is does not allow my external streaming box to automatically turn the tv on and change the input with its remote, so I need to use both to function it. Not terribly bad, and maybe I’m missing something or a software update could fix it if not.The built in speakers are not good. We have a soundbar, so it’s not usually an issue during movies, but for casual viewing of general content, the audio through the tv is less than ideal. Other than that, this is a fantastic experience to be able to have this tv in our living room and I would certainly recommend this TCL and this particular model for anyone looking for a great picture and a thin, featherweight body that’s easy to manage. Just be aware of the audio limitations, but that can be a non issue for those of us that use external speakers anyways.Ver másVer menos
