Works perfect even in bright light, no need to for complete darkness

The HAPPRUN 4K attempts to shatter that constraint, and largely succeeds in redefining what a convenient, all-in-one home theater experience should be.The Game-Changer: Brightness and SetupThe advertised 2500 ANSI lumens is the main event here. While high-end cinema projectors soar past this number, for a projector designed for the average living room, this brightness is a revelation. It transforms the viewing experience from a strictly nighttime-only affair to a perfectly viable option even with the curtains slightly ajar or lights dimmed, significantly broadening its utility.Equally impressive is the automated setup. initial impressions: this is very very good
So far, I've gotten this set up enough to display a 70" picture on my wall. It's working with my Roku via HDMI. This also has a built-in streamer and it has apps for some well-known streaming services, but I held off on it after reading the privacy policy.Setup was remarkably easy. As soon as a picture is displayed the unit auto-focuses and it does a very good job. It will let you adjust magnification and keystone distortion (when you're projecting at an angle) with two methods, including a point method which would let you measure corners exactly and match up to them. This is all with the remote, there's no manual adjustment.This generates a lot of heat, maybe 250 watts or so, which means it's probably using a halogen bulb and not LED. That means there's a noisy cooling fan and you'll want to make sure it's sucking in clean air. Strangely, when turning the projector off it turns off the fans immediately and does not go through a cool-down cycle - this might be specific to halogens which can handle higher temps.The picture quality is superb. I was really impressed. It's very smooth and film-like.. the colors would pop more on a proper reflective screen and dark room., but they're there. There is conflicting info about the resolution, it says both 1080p and 4k but I'm betting that the micro display is actually 1080p at this price point. Brightness is good at 70", but my guess is that 100" would be the biggest you'd want to go with this, and that somewhat confirms the 1000 ansi lumen claim.It has one speaker but you'd only want to use that it if there's no better option. There is headphone audio (maybe aux?) output but no coax or toslink. So, you might want to route the HDMI through a receiver or audio splitter for use with a sound system. There is also the option to use Bluetooth audio output (from my understanding).I originally wanted to mount this vertically for ceiling gaming but you can't simply tilt it up because the wire connections (and one vent) is in the back. There are bolt holes at each corner but I'm not sure what standard that is (vesa?).Overall I'm very impressed. Very easy to get great results with this projector.Ver másVer menos

Big screen fun without the big price.
This projector exceeded my expectations. Picture is bright and sharp even on a large wall and the autofocus works fast every time. Built in apps make it easy to stream without extra devices. Sound is solid for a projector and Bluetooth makes it simple to connect a speaker if you want more. Setup was quick and it works great indoors or outside for movie nights and games. Auto-focus, easy to use, good picture, decent projector at a good price point.
This is a good general-use projector, with dual HDMI inputs, one USB-A and a 3.5mm headphone jack (all on back).Picture is good. 1080p native resolution, and minimal screen door effect. Brightness is good in dark spaces, I've included photos of the projection image on the wall behind three 27" monitors.Autofocus is good, there isn't any optical keystone correction, but it does have basic digital corrections.Bottom of unit has a single height adjustment support. No angular adjustment so I just sat one back corner on a coaster. An adjustable rear corner leg would be a nice addition.Lens comes with a cover that stays on with simple friction fit. On/off button is in the center of the unit on the top side.User agreement pops up on screen when you turn it on, but I opted out. It explains user data will be sent to the manufacturer when the unit is accessing the internet. Projector comes with Netflix, Amazon, and YouTube apps, accessible from dedicated buttons on the remote. So this could stream it's own content. I did not test these features. But the inclusion of these usually comes with a subsidy on the cost of the device - meaning you're getting the hardware at a better price than without these companies' investment.Form factor is large, certainly helps with heat dissipation. When you turn the power off, it just shuts off. The fan doesn't continue to run.I'm giving this five stars, because it is exactly what the product listing promised, and works really well. My only wish is the additional height adjustment, and I'm not withholding a full star for that.Product works well, I'll use it for my PC and for projecting images for art projects.Ver másVer menos

It's great projector, worth the money.
Pros:1. Seems like an Android operating system and can use efficiently2. Comes with Netflix, Youtube , Prime Video and Browser apps are Pre installed, you don't have to worry about your favorite shows.3. App store is available for installing the applications, you can install available apps4. Built in screen cast options for Android and iPhon5. Comes with HDMI port as well, incase if you want to plug in your TV sticks etc.6. The auto focus feature is amazing and works great.7. Super bright, the picture was taken when my living room light is on.8. The speakers are surprisingly well, I was thinking to buy a portable speaker but after using it, it's great.9. Remote is fairly easy to use, if you're used to Amazon fire TV stick.Cons:1. The ventilation inside the project is a little loud, still the projector gets lot of heat after some usage.2. The screen cast for Android is only Miracast, google cast doesn't work, I wish it supports Google cast. Haven't tried iPhone cast, but I hope it's not as flaky as Android.3. Screen adjust feature is great to adjust your picture, but I wish it came with more flexibility, it's restricts movement after certain points.4.
