Google TV Projector

This projector is great. It’s compact but not cheap or flimsy, and it’s super easy to use. The picture quality is great and the remote works well. It’s not super heavy so it’s easy to move around. Great for outdoor movie nights in the summer. I also like the WiFi connectivity.Ver más

Great picture!

This projector is pretty amazing! It feels sturdy and not at all like some of the cheaper knockoff ones I have purchased in the past. It was very easy to set up, I turned it on, connected to my wifi, and logged in to my Disney plus account and we were outside watching hocus pocus in less than 10 minutes! It already has a bunch h of apps installed and works just like my tv. The picture was really good, almost as good as my TV. The sound could have been better and I didn't see any way to adjust it, so next time we'll hook it to our outdoor Bluetooth speakers! Our family nights just got turned up!Ver más

Excellent entry level projector!

Update: I will try uploading a photo with no identifying markers. I really want to showcase the quality of the picture on my wall.I am resubmitting this review (sadly) without the photos and video of it playing Netflix on my wall. I assume the rejection was bc of copywrite issues. The picture was crisp, clear and enjoyable. IMHO. The sound quality is ok and acceptable…but you would have to pay a lot more for a better audio experience.This is a very reasonably priced entry level projector that works with Google TV. It is easily portable being only 4lbs 10oz.I am only moderately "techie" as an older grandmother and I was able to set this up ALL by myself! Start by downloading the GOOGLE HOME APP, then sign into your google account (you will need to have a google account. If you don't have one, you can follow the prompts to set one up) Once you are logged into the app, it is only a matter of going through the steps that are presented. You will be asked what apps to add like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney, Directv etc... and it will load them for you. I set up everything via my WIFI and it was a walk in the park. You can also use an HDMI cable if you want (but I didn't use that)It supports a 15 degree elevation angle by using the attached handle as an adjustable stand. It has 4 installation modes, Front desktop, Rear desktop, Front ceiling and rear ceiling. Included with the projector is: power adapter, HDMI cable, remote control (that takes 2 AAA batteries that are not included) and an easy to follow user manual.NOTE: It is important to go into your advanced settings to select the corresponding projection mode, so the images can be projected correctly.This unit has auto focus, that when it detects shaking or rapid movements, it will automatically adjust the image quality. You can also press the "focus" button right on your remote until the image becomes clear.It will pair easily by bring the remote control close to the projector while simultaneously pressing and holding the left arrow and home buttons. Then wait for pairing to complete. There is an "Auto Screen Fit so you can fit to screen automatically. It also has "Intelligent Obstacle Avoidance" to automatically adjust the projected image to avoid and objects on the projected surface. There is a dedicated "zoom" button to reduce or enlarge the image size that can be accessed in the settings mode. Also, the picture projects larger when the projector is placed further away. (It can then be adjusted +/- with the zoom function in the settings.BONUS POSITIVE: - The 5.2 Bluetooth allows me to pair my Airpods with this!!!Open the lid of your AirPods case.- Press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.2. **Enable Bluetooth on the Projector:**- Turn on the projector.- Navigate to the Bluetooth settings on the projector. This can be found in the settings menu on the remote.3. **Pair the AirPods with the Projector:**NEGATIVES:With lights on, the picture is faint. The darker the room the better, more colorful and crisp the picture.SAFETY:do not use in wet conditions (ie: rain) and it is recommended to turn off the unit after 6 hrs of non-stop running.Overall I am quite pleased with this projector. It is extremely reasonable for the market. You can of course get higher quality viewing and spend $100's of dollars for a top of the line projector, but this is a great entry level that does a decent job and will give a lot of fun for movie nights with my grandkids.If I can do this…you can too!!!

Beautiful image quality on a highly versatile projector

We have installed this projector indoors and the color contrast and image sharpness is outstanding in that light controlled environment. This is our first such projector so I do not have a lot to go on. I will say I really appreciate the suite of Google TV apps that come pre-installed or are easily accessible once you login with your Google account. The remote control includes buttons that instantly take you to Netflix. Prime and YouTube, so you can switch between those frequently used apps very easily. The adjustments for screen size, focus and the like are intuitive and easy to use. We were able to frame it perfectly on a blank wall. The built in speaker is fine but it easily will pair with a Bluetooth speaker for higher quality audio (such as a soundbar). I cannot really confirm if it gets genuine 4K. It feels more to me like 1080 P because when I compare genuine 4K image projection on our Samsung 65 inch TV the ladder looks a lot sharper with better contrast. That’s exactly what I would expect with a projector rather than a flatscreen TV. That does not bother me all that much but I do think it’s important to note that just from my naked eye it is excellent, but I’m not sure the image quality is quite 4K. With the HDMI input, you can also connect things like a PlayStation or Xbox, a Roku or FireStick or even a 4K Blu-ray player. My son was also able to connect to his MacBook and project his video games with this as well! That said, it really works best with Google TV as the core operating system.Ver más

Excellent brightness, great color quality, crisp image, and surprisingly good audio

I'm truly impressed by this unit. It's quite compact and very portable for a projector. The brightness is what has impressed me the most. I did my initial setup in my living room on a sunny day with lots of sun coming in and was blown away by how good the picture looked on the other end of the room. Excellent image quality and incredibly crisp. The setup was very intuitive with the auto focus and the quality of this unit seems good. The sound quality was also fantastic. My main use for this will be for outdoor camping and since that season has come to a close I haven't been able to use this much yet. As such, I haven't set up the integrated apps yet but am looking forward to trying that. I'll update this review if anything changes but from my initial impressions I'd recommend this unit.Ver más
