FUN!!
This is a FUN game! Played it with my grandkids (9 and 11 yr. old). The rules seem complicated at first but actually playing it helps make sense of them. We all enjoyed all the creatures on the cards as well.

Really fun game
I listened to the Planet Money series about the making of this game, and I was pretty excited to try it. If you aren't familiar with Planet Money, it's an economics podcast that is light and funny. They did a whole series on what it takes to make a game, and came up with this from scratch with the help of Exploding Kittens. It's a fun listen, whether you buy this game or not.The game turned out really fun. I played it with my family (pre-teens to adults). It says 2-6 players, but I don't think it would be much fun with less than 3. It's a strategy game where you trade cards with other players, and if you only had one other player, I think it would lose a lot of it's appeal.Learning the game took maybe 10 minutes, and that was enough time for 4 people to read the directions, and a little bit of discussion. After that, it was pretty easy to play but the strategy involved stayed interesting. In a nutshell, you get 5 cards in your hand, some of them good, some of them bad. One player is the "buyer" each round. The other players put down 3 cards from their hands in front of them. One face up and two face down. The buyer can chose to flip over one face-down card, and then makes the choice of which person's hand that they are going to take. They take all 3 cards and put them face up on the table in front of them. (The cards face up in front of you are the only ones you can actually use). The people who's cards didn't get chosen, keep them and put them face up in front of themselves. Everyone draws cards to get their hands back up to 5 and it starts again, with the person who the buyer chose in the last round as the new buyer. So the strategy is to try to either get someone to take your bad cards or not take your good cards. It gets more interesting because there are special cards you can play that do different things like letting you flip over an extra card, or put a card from your hand in another person's pile that is up for offer. There is a lot more to it, that isn't worth typing out as it's all in the directions, but that gives you the gist of the game. It's fairly simple to learn and a lot of fun to play. I highly recommend it.Ver másVer menos

Hilarious Strategy Game That’s Easy to Learn
Sell Me a Sasquatch is a fun, fast-paced party game that combines strategy, bluffing, and plenty of laughs. The gameplay is easy to pick up, making it great for both experienced gamers and people who don’t normally play board games. The artwork has the signature Exploding Kittens humor, and every round feels a little different thanks to the unpredictable interactions between players. It strikes a nice balance between light strategy and friendly competition, keeping everyone engaged without dragging on.It’s a great choice for family game nights, gatherings with friends, or anyone looking for a game that’s entertaining without being overly complicated. If you enjoy quirky humor and games that encourage conversation and laughter, this one is definitely worth adding to your collection.Ver másVer menos

Slight learning curve, but so much fun with 4+ players
It took us a little bit to fully wrap our heads around the rules and mechanics for this one, but once we figured it out, the fun really began! We played with four of us—a mix of teenagers and adults—and it turned out to be so much fun.The game pieces are great quality, from the cards to the play mats, holding up well to all the fast-paced dealing and negotiating. Our games lasted right around a half hour, which felt like the perfect length to keep everyone engaged without dragging on.One thing I noticed is that this is definitely a "more the merrier" kind of game. I don't think it would be as much fun with fewer than four players, as having that extra group dynamic really makes the bluffing and scamming pay off. I’m definitely throwing this into the mix for our next game night with our adult crew—it is going to be absolutely hysterical!Ver másVer menos

Not our favorite but will give it another try.
We’re fans of the other Exploding Kittens games, so we were excited to try this one.We played with three people, and while it was entertaining enough, it didn’t quite have the same appeal as some of their other games. It feels like this is probably one of those games that’s more fun with a larger group since there’s more bluffing, negotiating, and strategy involved. With only three players, it was just okay.My son actually ended up winning the game, but even he said it wasn’t one of his favorites, which surprised me because he usually loves Exploding Kittens games. We’ll give it another try with more people before making up our minds completely.Ver másVer menos

Super fun, easy to play - excellent for NPR nerds!
As a longtime NPR listener and Planet Money fan, this was such a fun game to come across. If you're already familiar with Exploding Kittens games, the artwork and overall sense of humor fit right in with the rest of their lineup. The rules were easy to explain, and everyone in my group picked up the gameplay pretty quickly. It's the kind of game you can get on the table without a long rules explanation, which makes it approachable even for people who don't play a lot of board games.I also like that there aren't a ton of pieces or complicated components to keep track of. It's a quick, accessible strategy game with great artwork and a clever theme. If you're into board games, it's worth a look. If you're also a public radio nerd, it's an especially fun find.Ver másVer menos
