FUN!!
This is a FUN game! Played it with my grandkids (9 and 11 yr. old). The rules seem complicated at first but actually playing it helps make sense of them. We all enjoyed all the creatures on the cards as well.

Really fun game
I listened to the Planet Money series about the making of this game, and I was pretty excited to try it. If you aren't familiar with Planet Money, it's an economics podcast that is light and funny. They did a whole series on what it takes to make a game, and came up with this from scratch with the help of Exploding Kittens. It's a fun listen, whether you buy this game or not.The game turned out really fun. I played it with my family (pre-teens to adults). It says 2-6 players, but I don't think it would be much fun with less than 3. It's a strategy game where you trade cards with other players, and if you only had one other player, I think it would lose a lot of it's appeal.Learning the game took maybe 10 minutes, and that was enough time for 4 people to read the directions, and a little bit of discussion. After that, it was pretty easy to play but the strategy involved stayed interesting.In a nutshell, you get 5 cards in your hand, some of them good, some of them bad. One player is the "buyer" each round. The other players put down 3 cards from their hands in front of them. One face up and two face down. The buyer can chose to flip over one face-down card, and then makes the choice of which person's hand that they are going to take. They take all 3 cards and put them face up on the table in front of them. (The cards face up in front of you are the only ones you can actually use). The people who's cards didn't get chosen, keep them and put them face up in front of themselves. Everyone draws cards to get their hands back up to 5 and it starts again, with the person who the buyer chose in the last round as the new buyer.So the strategy is to try to either get someone to take your bad cards or not take your good cards. It gets more interesting because there are special cards you can play that do different things like letting you flip over an extra card, or put a card from your hand in another person's pile that is up for offer.There is a lot more to it, that isn't worth typing out as it's all in the directions, but that gives you the gist of the game. It's fairly simple to learn and a lot of fun to play. I highly recommend it.Ver másVer menos

Slight learning curve, but so much fun with 4+ players
It took us a little bit to fully wrap our heads around the rules and mechanics for this one, but once we figured it out, the fun really began! We played with four of us—a mix of teenagers and adults—and it turned out to be so much fun.The game pieces are great quality, from the cards to the play mats, holding up well to all the fast-paced dealing and negotiating. Our games lasted right around a half hour, which felt like the perfect length to keep everyone engaged without dragging on.One thing I noticed is that this is definitely a "more the merrier" kind of game. I don't think it would be as much fun with fewer than four players, as having that extra group dynamic really makes the bluffing and scamming pay off. Shopping Is My Cardio
Not our favorite but will give it another try.
We’re fans of the other Exploding Kittens games, so we were excited to try this one.We played with three people, and while it was entertaining enough, it didn’t quite have the same appeal as some of their other games.It feels like this is probably one of those games that’s more fun with a larger group since there’s more bluffing, negotiating, and strategy involved. With only three players, it was just okay.My son actually ended up winning the game, but even he said it wasn’t one of his favorites, which surprised me because he usually loves Exploding Kittens games.We’ll give it another try with more people before making up our minds completely.Ver másVer menos

Super fun, easy to play - excellent for NPR nerds!
As a longtime NPR listener and Planet Money fan, this was such a fun game to come across. If you're already familiar with Exploding Kittens games, the artwork and overall sense of humor fit right in with the rest of their lineup.The rules were easy to explain, and everyone in my group picked up the gameplay pretty quickly. It's the kind of game you can get on the table without a long rules explanation, which makes it approachable even for people who don't play a lot of board games.I also like that there aren't a ton of pieces or complicated components to keep track of. It's a quick, accessible strategy game with great artwork and a clever theme.If you're into board games, it's worth a look. Really fun for all ages, not too long or complicated
I got this game for my 11 year old daughter. She absolutely loves exploding kittens and wants to play it all of the time. She loves it so much that I've gotten a few of the expansion packs as well as the exploding pigeon game for her. So when I saw they made other games, I had to get them for her. I got this one along with two others from the brand.This game is a lot of fun. It's not too difficult for her at 11 years old, but it's interesting enough that it's fun for us adults too. I like that these games are something the whole family can enjoy.The instructions are easy to follow and the rules aren't complicated. The gameplay isn't too long either. We all really enjoyed this one and it will be a regular addition to our game nights. Based on all of the different games I've gotten from this brand, I really think all of their games are enjoyable and worth recommending.This game is better than expected and is reasonably priced for the quality.Ver másVer menos

Bigfoot Would Approve
I have a weakness for anything cryptid related, so there wasn't much chance I was going to dislike a game about selling Sasquatches. Then I opened the box and somehow it got even better. The artwork is absolutely adorable. I found myself stopping to look at the cards instead of paying attention to whose turn it was. Whoever illustrated this game clearly had way too much fun, and I'm glad they did.We played a few rounds the day it arrived, and it very quickly turned into everyone trying to convince everyone else that their pile of cards was definitely the best deal. The amount of confidence people can have while blatantly trying to rip you off is honestly impressive. There was laughing, there was suspicious side eye, there were dramatic accusations of betrayal over cardboard cryptids, and somehow I still wanted to play another round. This is one of those games that's easy to learn but somehow manages to bring out everyone's inner con artist, and I loved every minute of it.Ver másVer menos

Definitely a fun game of strategy
I will start off this review by saying that I have never played the two player version of this game which is different than playing with 3 or more players. Thus far, I have only played a 3 player version of this game and I went into it with the idea that I was playing a child’s game. And while this game is geared towards younger players, it is still an extremely fun game that is enjoyable for all ages, and we all had a great time. There is more to it than meets the eye and strategy plays a huge part in the gameplay. Strategy, bluffing and taking risks are all included in making this game, the enjoyable surprise of this product. The rules are simple and fairly easy to follow and any rules that are not quite so simple, become very clear during gameplay. It took one full game to understand the rules and get all the kinks worked out but after that, everyone was geared up and ready to play. For those who don’t do well with written instruction, there is a QR code that brings you to a video tutorial on how to play the game and the rules. The video is well done and I found it easier to follow than the written rules. (But that’s just me) I only used the written rules after that for reference. The cards are a standard quality of card that would be found in most traditional decks of cards. The tokens for gameplay are punched out of thick cardboard and while they are not the most sturdy tokens, they are also not handled very much and should last a long time. All in all, this game was a whole lot of fun and definitely has a lot of replay in it. This is a game that can be played time and time again and everyone can still enjoy it and have fun. The price is reasonable and I am honestly glad that we ordered this one. A whole lot of fun for family game night. I love this new addition to our board and card games.Ver másVer menos

Skip the Manual, Watch the Video
The paper instructions were A LITTLE confusing, so my daughters and I just watched the video via the QR code instead. Much easier. But of course after watching the video the paper instructions made sense.It’s a quick game about tricking others with bad cards, which we picked up after one playthrough. The artwork is funny, very similar to Exploding Kittens with a lot of varied artwork.A good addition for game night, but not a weekly favourite for us.
