High Strength Azelaic Acid in a Lightweight Serum

ANAI RUI is one of the skincare brands I absolutely love! I already own many of their products. They consistently offer higher concentrations of active ingredients at reasonable prices, which is a huge reason I keep coming back to them. I care much more about the formula than expensive packaging or hype, and ANAI RUI gives me the kind of ingredient list I’m actually looking for. What I love most is the ingredient combination:✔ **12% Azelaic Acid** helps improve uneven skin tone, calm redness, minimize the appearance of blemishes, and fade post-breakout discoloration.✔ **Niacinamide** helps strengthen the skin barrier, brighten dullness, regulate excess oil, and improve the appearance of enlarged pores.✔ **Hydrating lightweight formula** leaves my skin feeling comfortable and moisturized while still working beautifully for combination and blemish-prone skin.As someone in my early 30s with combination skin, I deal with a little bit of everything—occasional hormonal breakouts, lingering post-acne marks, redness around my nose and cheeks, and uneven skin tone. Azelaic acid has become one of those ingredients I never want to be without because my skin responds so well to it. When I saw this formula combined 12% Azelaic Acid with Niacinamide, I had a feeling it was going to fit right into my routine. The addition of niacinamide makes the formula feel well rounded. The 12% Azelaic Acid works to brighten discoloration and improve uneven skin tone, while Niacinamide helps support the skin barrier, balance oil production, and refine the look of pores. Together they make an incredible combination without feeling harsh on my skin. Despite the higher active concentration, the serum still feels hydrating and layers easily with other skin care products.I’ve tried quite a few azelaic acid products over the years because it’s one of those ingredients that my skin always seems to respond well to. Since I use tretinoin and regularly incorporate exfoliating acids into my routine, I love finding products that help reduce redness, fade post-breakout marks, and keep my complexion looking balanced without causing additional irritation. This serum has become one of my favorites, and it’s one I find myself reaching for again and again. It’s lightweight, absorbs in just a minute or two, and doesn’t leave my face feeling sticky or tacky. I usually apply it after cleansing in the evening, let it sink in while I brush my teeth, then finish with my moisturizer. It layers beautifully with the rest of my skincare and never pills.✨ Highlights:✔ 12% Azelaic Acid targets redness, uneven tone, congestion, and post-breakout marks✔️ Niacinamide supports the skin barrier while helping minimize the appearance of pores.✔️ Lightweight, fast-absorbing formula✔️ Doesn’t pill under moisturizer or sunscreen✔️ Lightweight, fast-absorbing formula✔ Works well in both morning and nighttime routines✔ Comfortable enough for consistent use without leaving my face tight✔️ Helps calm visible redness✔ Layers perfectly under moisturizer, sunscreen, and makeupAfter a couple weeks of consistent use, I started noticing that my complexion looked calmer. The redness around my nose and cheeks wasn't as noticeable, newer blemishes seemed to settle down faster, and some of the stubborn marks from older breakouts slowly started fading. My face also felt hydrated without becoming oily throughout the day.I've learned that consistency is key with azelaic acid, and this serum has been making such a difference. My skin feels calmer, looks healthier, and is much more even than before adding this into my routine. If you're looking for an ingredient focused serum from a reputable brand, I would highly recommend giving this one a try!Ver más

Great for my sensitive and reactive skin

Anai Rui is a brand that I have come to trust, as every product I have tried from them has been excellent, and this serum has been no exception. I have sensitive and reactive skin, so I was especially interested in a product that claims to address redness and blemishes while also supporting the skin barrier.I have used this serum twice a day for 30 days, and my skin has responded really well to it. I have not experienced any additional irritation or breakouts, which is important for my skin. The redness that I frequently experience has calmed noticeably, and my skin feels well hydrated and more comfortable. I have also noticed some slight fading of my acne spots, although I would like to continue using it to see how much improvement I get over time. The combination of azelaic acid, niacinamide, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, cica, and vitamin B5 makes sense for the concerns this serum is designed to address. I especially appreciate that it is fragrance-free and has a lightweight water-gel texture. It absorbs quickly without leaving my skin sticky, which makes it easy to use both morning and night. The slight green-blue tint does not bother me and does not leave any noticeable color on my skin.As for the oil-balancing claim, I have not noticed a significant difference in that area after 30 days. Since everyone's skin responds differently and some of the changes this product is intended to provide can take longer with consistent use, I will be finishing the entire bottle to see if I notice additional improvement. At $15.99, I think this is a good value. I have seen a noticeable improvement in the redness and hydration of my skin after 30 days, and I have started to see some fading of my acne spots as well. For someone with sensitive, redness-prone skin who is looking for a lightweight serum that addresses several concerns at once, I would recommend giving this one a try.Ver más

Lightweight, Gentle Serum with Great Value

I’ve used several skincare products from ANAI RUI, and they’ve consistently worked well for my sensitive combination skin. While many of the products in my routine are higher-end or K-beauty brands, I like that ANAI RUI offers effective formulas at a much more budget-friendly price. This azelaic acid serum has a lightweight texture that absorbs quickly without feeling sticky or heavy. It layers well with the rest of my skincare routine and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and nourished. Most importantly, it hasn’t caused any redness or irritation. As with most skincare products, I don’t expect overnight results. Azelaic acid takes time and consistent use, so I’m continuing to use it with realistic expectations. So far, I’m happy with how comfortable it feels on my skin and how well it fits into my daily routine.Considering the quality, performance, and gentle formula, I think this serum offers excellent value. It’s noticeably more affordable than many comparable K-beauty and other popular skincare products, making it an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a budget-friendly azelaic acid serum.Ver más

Lightweight serum (perfect for warm weather months or layering)

This is a nice, lightweight serum (ANAI RUI Azalaic Acid 12% Serum). The bottle is frosted, which makes it seem more luxurious than its price point, and I love a dropper delivery system for serum. It's very easy to use and hygienic. The serum arrived in a box ensealed in plastic. It spreads easily and absorbs quickly. 3-5 drops are recommended, which seems appropriate and enough to cover one's entire face (and maybe your neck, too). It did not leave any noticeable white residue on my skin. It does feel like it leaves a very thin film, but I think that's to be expected (and desired) - think a thin smoothing layer to hydrate the skin.Note that the serum, as pictured, has a faint green-blue tint. "The tint comes from centella asiatica extract(cica) and oubaku ekisu - both plant-based ingredients. No artificial colorants are added." It did not look green or blue at all on my skin. It does have a faint botanical scent. I am under the impression no synthetic fragrance was added, but the lavandula angustifolia flower extract has a mild lavendar aroma. I could only smell that while applying; in my opinion it is very faint and does not linger.Ver más

High-quality serum that minimizes rosacea redness

I've just recently started using ANAI RUI serums, and I've been impressed with the quality. This 12% azelaic acid lives up that brand standard, with a gentle, lightweight formula that absorbs easily and layers well with other serums. While I've reached the age where I have a collection of skincare serums and lotions to fight back the hands of time, this is the most critical one in my arsenal. The azelaic acid is really helpful for countering rosacea, and the 12% is a great strength for an over the counter product. That makes it just shy of the 14% prescription strength standard. But this is a much cheaper solution than a copay to have a dermatologist to write a prescription, and then paying the overpriced cost for a compounded prescription as well. The azelaic acid is supplemented with other skin-loving products, including niacinamide and hyaluronic acid for moisture. It has a noticeable effect for me reducing my redness. It's also gentle enough that I can use it twice a day, for my morning and evening skin care routine. It generally works well with all of my other serums, but like other across, you should be cautious if you're going to pair this with a retinoid, and it's best to use them at different times.Ver más

Gentle Yet Effective Azelaic Acid Serum for Redness, Brightening & Skin Barrier Support

I’ve been incorporating this 12% Azelaic Acid Serum into my morning skincare routine several times a week. I apply it before my moisturizer and the rest of my morning serums, allowing it to absorb before layering the remainder of my skincare and finishing with SPF. I primarily use it to help reduce redness, keep occasional breakouts under control, and gradually improve the appearance of post-acne marks and uneven skin tone. One thing that stood out to me is the ingredient list. In addition to 12% azelaic acid, it contains niacinamide, which helps brighten the complexion, improve the look of pores, and support the skin barrier. It also includes panthenol (Vitamin B5), ceramide NP, centella asiatica, allantoin, and multiple forms of hyaluronic acid, all of which help soothe the skin, maintain hydration, and minimize the dryness that can sometimes occur with active ingredients. The serum has a lightweight consistency that spreads easily, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave behind a sticky or greasy finish. It layers well with the rest of my skincare products without pilling, making it easy to incorporate into my morning routine.I also appreciate that this formula combines effective active ingredients with several calming and barrier-supporting ingredients, making it feel gentler than many acne-targeting treatments I’ve used. While it does contain lavender extract, it hasn’t irritated my skin, though those with very sensitive skin may still want to patch test first.Overall, this is a thoughtfully formulated serum that helps address redness, blemishes, and uneven skin tone while also providing hydration and barrier support. If you’re looking for an azelaic acid serum that offers multiple skin benefits in one step, this is a great option.Ver más
