  A delight and fantastic format.

The new Fold8 is everything I thought it would be. It's beautiful, very thin and light, in the format of the phone with its passport dimensions. It's very easy and comfortable to use on a daily basis. I find it to be far better than the square format I have on my old Vivo 2 foldable. It was bloody expensive. Bit worth every penny. Good battery life too.Ver másVer menos

My Honest Take on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (First Fold, First Impressions... and Now I'm Sold)

I'll be upfront, I went into this hesitant coming from an iPhone 15 Pro and an S26 Ultra. This is my first foldable, and I had all the usual doubts durability, hinge wear, whether it would actually hold up as a daily driver or just end up as an expensive novelty that would be returned. A few weeks in, I can say I was wrong to worry. This thing has earned a permanent spot as my main device. What I Actually Use It ForMy day-to-day isn't crazy and consists of phone calls, texting, a lot of streaming (MLB, YouTube, Netflix, Disney+), web browsing, online shopping, general entertainment, and now schoolwork for my college courses utilizing DeX, however I don't use it for gaming. The Fold 8 handles all of it without breaking a sweat, and honestly, it's doing more than I expected going in. Battery life has been solid and I get plenty of juice to get me through the day.PerformanceFor everything I throw at it, performance has been smooth. Streaming looks great on the bigger canvas, browsing is snappy, and switching between apps for coursework has been painless. I haven't run into any slowdown that made me question the hardware. This could be a different story 6-12-24 months from now, but right now this thing is snappy and smooth. One thing I cannot forget to mention is the speakers. For some the speakers will be an issue. They're on one side of the screen unfolded and it creates an off balance listening experience. This however does not bother me in particular. The more you use it the more you get used to it and if you're someone who uses headphones a lot then you really wont notice.HeatThis was my biggest concern after seeing a lot of Youtube videos mention this. For me I have no overheating issues to report, with one exception. Like any phone initial setup it ran a little warm, which seems to be common with these devices during the first sync and data transfer. Since then, it's been business as usual, even during longer streaming sessions. Also to be fair, I'm not a gamer so I cannot speak to playing any games on his either.Size and FeelThe screen size strikes a great balance. The front display is small enought to handle the texting and quick glance notifications, but the inner screen is big enough to actually enjoy videos and reading. Not to mention the phone itself is light and comfortable to hold, even unfolded. It doesn't feel like a brick, and it doesn't feel fragile either. It's genuinely a delight to use, which surprised me for a first foldable. For those that remember it does give a little bit of that Blackberry vibe when folded and an iPad Mini vibe when unfolded for frame of reference. The Case SituationThis is really my only complaint, and it's more about timing than the phone itself. Since it's early in its release cycle, decent case options are still catching up. If you're picky about protection and style, be patient. This will improve as more accessory makers get on board. This form factor feels like it has real staying power. With foldables maturing and rumors swirling about Apple entering the space with an iPhone Ultra, I think Samsung's Fold line is positioned to be a serious competitor rather than a niche product. If my experience is any indication, this is the direction phones are heading, and Samsung has a real head start.Bottom LineI went into this skeptical and was even really nervous the first few days but came out impressed. If you've been on the fence about a first foldable, the Z Fold 8 is a strong argument to jump in.Ver másVer menos

  In love with this

Such a great phone. Battery life has been solid. I love using both screens, and the smaller/wider size is a treat to use day to day. Cameras work well, though not pixel quality. Color is awesome. Still getting used to OneUI, but I havent had any app issues with the form factor so far, everything works. Mine is in a case, but the included free screen protector replacement is a nice detail. Its quite expensive, but if you will use the features and eliminate a tablet, likely worth it over several years.Ver másVer menos

  My new bestie

My new Z Fold8 is amazing! I absolutely love how easily it fits in my pocket while still giving me such a large screen when I open it. The bigger screen is perfect for watching movies, multitasking, and getting things done. The battery also holds a charge really well. My phone fell and not one Crack, the color is pretty, and so easy to use as a set up. I’m very happy with my purchase and love this phone!Ver másVer menos

  This is a keeper...

There is nothing bad to say about this phone. Period. It's fun. It has excellent battery life. All of the screens are customizable (though I do use a specific launcher perfect for this phone, with more options than UI9). It's fun to hold, A slim case with Magsafe and it is great to hold, even when open. It is so light even with screen unfolded using the Magsafe ring is a breeze. After a month now I can't say anything bad about it. It did get hot at times, but bought a new slim case that fixed that.Ver másVer menos
