Arris Surfboard S33 Cable Modem Equates to Fast Speeds and Reliable Operation!
The Arris Surfboard S33 cable modem easily reaches the top speeds (approximately 1.6 Gbps (Down); 40Mbps (up)) offered by my ISP, Comcast/xfinity. It works seamlessly with my Netgear Orbi RBE970 Mesh system, comprised of 1 router and 4 satellites. Top notch modem.
The modem works great, since it was compatible with my cable internet company, the install was a snap. I matched this up with a two-node mesh router and everything is working great.

It’s not a easy one to connect, speed slowed down not up
We have spectrum services, we had a hard time getting modem to connect to orbi routers. With the help of spectrum tech support it finally connected but the speed slowed down not up. We had multiple tvs that were pausing that didn’t before. We went back to the spectrum modem and everything was fine again. We sent the modem back. We were disappointed in the results. Not sure why this new, updated tech wouldn’t work. Too much time and frustration spent here.Ver másVer menos

Great connection, easy setup
We've only used it for a few weeks now, but it works great so far. Set up with Xfinity was a breeze. It took about 10 minutes to install through the Xfinity app. It's a perfect match for our Asus 2.5Gbps router. No hiccups or disconnects yet. We do have an AC Infinity120mm Multifan S3 positioned next to the modem and under the router to keep both cool. Speeds are excellent. Highly recommend if you're on Xfinity.Ver másVer menos

Speedy and works, no drop outs.......
Fully compatible with Astound Broadband. Easy, just call in the MAC and done. Maybe relatively expensive, but hopefully reliability is there. The only thing knocking it down from 5 stars to 4 stars is their "Quick Start Card". Don't even read the instructions or scan the code or download their apps. They don't even know which of their apps works with S33! I went through two of their apps before I bagged that process, deleted the apps completely and called the cable company as I should have in the first place. That part took just a couple minutes after wasting 30+ minutes! That said GREAT HARDWARE!Ver másVer menos
