No frills, no fuss, no issues
1) Opening the box: There is ... almost nothing in the box, and thus very little to set up. Just the webcam with integrated cord (USB-A, the boxy kind, which might be an issue for modern laptops and tablets, but those will likely have better integrated cameras). The instructions are basically just four pictures: stick the camera on something, plug it in, turn the privacy shutter on, turn it off.2) Quality: It is very minimalist, but it could feel much cheaper, so overall it feels very good quality, especially considering the price.3) Video quality: I compared the video quality to a webcam that was twice the price, and it is slightly worse -- grainier and darker -- but not enough to justify the cost difference.4) Microphone quality: The microphone was distinctly better on this webcam -- clearer and brighter -- than my more expensive one. And I very much liked that a separate light indicator came on when the microphone was active (so helpful when you're juggling multiple microphones, not to mention just to be aware when your audio is being picked up ... which, by the way, my other webcam does all the time, unless disconnected).5) Privacy shutter: My more expensive webcam didn't have a manual privacy shutter like this one, which now feels like a real miss.Conclusion: If you want a cheap, easy, plug-and-play webcam for a parent/grandparent who doesn't like tech, this is probably about as good as you can expect.Ver másVer menos

Good video for Zoom/Teams calls
I've used this for the past week on Zoom and Teams calls, and it works well. It's comparable to other external HD cameras I have used, and it is far superior to the onboard HP camera on my laptop. It's a bit shiny/bright compared to what you would see in a mirror, and it is noticeably grainier and shinier compared to an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Like many cameras, the look feels a bit artificial, especially if you are used to Apple product cameras. Color saturation is a bit heavy for my liking. For what I want it to do, though, it's more than adequate. The microphones are fine and work well for an integrated unit, but I am on calls 6+ hours/day, so I will never give up my dedicated speaker phone with integrated mute/volume buttons. If you're looking for an all=in-one A/V solution for video calls, this works well.Ver másVer menos

Smooth 1080p performance
This is a basic webcam that works really well. I didn't spend much time using the 4K mode since very few people I meet with are viewing on 4K displays. I much preferred running it at 1080p and 60 FPS, which provides a noticeably smoother image.Setup was as simple as plugging it in, and the included clip held the camera securely on top of my monitor without needing any adjustments. The autofocus kept the image sharp without constantly hunting, and the picture quality was clear and natural for video calls. The built in dual microphones seems to work well as I was told my voice was clear and easy to hear.Another great feature is the integrated privacy cover. It's a simple addition, but it's much more convenient than using a separate webcam cover.Overall, it's an easy, no fuss webcam that offers good video quality, solid audio, and seems to be an excellent value for the price.Ver másVer menos

Crystal clear video and audio
This 4K webcam is a solid buy if you want clear video without a lot of hassle. The ease to set up was great—just plug in, and you’re ready to go. The video quality is crisp and smooth, especially at 4K@30FPS, and the autofocus and overall sharpness make it easy to look presentable in meetings or streaming. I also like the adjustability: you can fine-tune positioning for framing, and the privacy cover is a nice touch for when it’s not in use. The microphone with dual noise-canceling picks up my voice well and cuts down on background noise better than I expected. Overall, the value for money feels strong for the features you get.I tried uploading a clip to demonstrate the video quality, but I'm having issues uploading Microsoft Camera app-based video in my review. Uploading a clip would require converting the video, which would only degrade the quality of the video, which would leave an unfair review of an otherwise solid 4K webcam.Ver másVer menos

Decent quality inexpensive webcam
This webcam is a reliable upgrade for video calls, meetings, and online classes. The 1080P video quality provides a clear image with good detail, and the automatic light adjustment does a nice job keeping the picture balanced when lighting conditions change. Plut into a USB-A port and no driver download. The cable provides plenty of length for flexible placement, but I am not a fan of the adjustable clip. The cord is too heavy for the clip to keep in place. This camera is better with a 1/4 inch camera shoe mount.The microphones pick up voices clearly for meetings, and the easily visible privacy cover is a provides peace of mind when the camera is not in use.This webcam is a solid choice for work-from-home setups or virtual meetings.
