No frills, no fuss, no issues
1) Opening the box: There is ... almost nothing in the box, and thus very little to set up. Just the webcam with integrated cord (USB-A, the boxy kind, which might be an issue for modern laptops and tablets, but those will likely have better integrated cameras). The instructions are basically just four pictures: stick the camera on something, plug it in, turn the privacy shutter on, turn it off.2) Quality: It is very minimalist, but it could feel much cheaper, so overall it feels very good quality, especially considering the price.3) Video quality: I compared the video quality to a webcam that was twice the price, and it is slightly worse -- grainier and darker -- but not enough to justify the cost difference.4) Microphone quality: The microphone was distinctly better on this webcam -- clearer and brighter -- than my more expensive one. And I very much liked that a separate light indicator came on when the microphone was active (so helpful when you're juggling multiple microphones, not to mention just to be aware when your audio is being picked up ... which, by the way, my other webcam does all the time, unless disconnected).5) Privacy shutter: My more expensive webcam didn't have a manual privacy shutter like this one, which now feels like a real miss.Conclusion: If you want a cheap, easy, plug-and-play webcam for a parent/grandparent who doesn't like tech, this is probably about as good as you can expect.Ver másVer menos
