Clear View of the Front Door
I installed this camera above our front door mainly because I wanted a better view of the porch and driveway area. We get a lot of foot traffic and package deliveries, and sometimes I just wanted to be able to quickly check what’s going on outside without opening the door every time.Once it was set up, I immediately noticed how clear the video is. Even during the day, the 3K resolution makes it easy to see small details like faces or package labels. At night, the color night vision is actually better than I expected. With the lights on, the whole front area and driveway are bright and visible, not just a blurry shadow like older cameras I’ve used before.The motion lights are also really helpful. When someone walks up to the door or pulls into the driveway, the lights turn on right away, which makes it feel a lot safer at night. It also naturally helps discourage random movement near the house, since the area lights up instantly.I like that I can adjust the viewing angle through the app. From the front door, I can clearly see both the walkway and most of the driveway, which covers exactly what I needed. The app itself is straightforward—I can check live video, look back at recordings, or get alerts when motion is detected without any complicated setup.Another thing I appreciate is that it doesn’t require a subscription. The included storage is enough for my daily use, and I don’t have to worry about extra monthly fees just to access footage.It’s been reliable in all weather so far—rainy days, cold nights, and everything in between—and I don’t have to think about it much once it’s installed.
