Good buy
For some reason it wouldn’t allow me to give this product 5 stars. My son loves it. He says it’s works as expected

Retro look with modern design.
Love these controllers. They last and protect from stick drift.

Good controller with some missed opportunities
This is a great "retro" feeling controller with some great features and a few drawbacks. Out of the box the controller has a great green and black colorway that reminds me of the classic Halo controllers from the OG Xbox. The box includes the controller and a very long braided green and black cable that matches the controller. The controller feels great in the hand and feels just like a standard Xbox controller. The buttons are all membrane type so the feeling is exactly what you would be used to from those controllers. The hall effect sticks feel good and smooth, and it has switches on the back to turn the trigger buttons into short throw triggers, and also 2 extra buttons on the lower inside. The controller is plug and play with Xbox Series and Xbox One consoles. I plugged it in and it worked straight away with both consoles. Unfortunately, it did not work on my Xbox 360 or OG Xbox, even with a Brook adapter. Plugging it into my PC also worked right away and it worked great for a controller there as well. Overall I would say it is a "good" controller, but it leaves some areas of opportunity on the table. First of, it is a wired only controller. This is advertised up front, but my issue is that for the price of this controller or a little more you can get a wireless OEM Xbox controller. I don't know if the additions of hall sticks, trigger stops, and the 2 extra buttons is enough to justify spending this much on a wired only controller. My other wish is that it is not compatible with older Xbox systems. I would have loved to use this on my OG Xbox but I just could not get it to work. And as a PC controller it is OK, even good, but not great. Not enough to replace my current controller options. If the price was a bit lower I would say it's a good deal, but not at the moment.Ver másVer menos

Lag time
A friend recommended this to my son and he asked me to get it for him. Something to do with improving lag time. I was hoping it was the lag time between me asking him to clean his room and him actually doing it, but sadly that doesn't seem to be the case. But he's very happy with its performance on his Xbox- so there's that.Ver másVer menos

A good controller, has some quirks that aren't good.
The overall styling and feel of this controller is great, I love the transparent green it reminds me of the new Xbox logo. The buttons feel great as do the joysticks, I'm not sure how to test if they're truly hall effect but time will certainly tell! There are a few quirks or flaws about this controller that I really don't like and have resulted me to make this a player 2 controller only. The first and most obvious one is the LED lights, they are so bright and they are turned on to max brightness out the box. Want to turn them down? You gotta download their app.Their app. The most egregious error in my opinion. We have forsaken the simplicity of buttons to force us to download their app and find the option to lower the brightness, with the controller blasting your eyes the entire time. Those fancy LED animations they sport on the box? "Coming soon!" On their app, so we're not even finished with the app or the product yet.The flaw that practically rendered this controller useless to me? The microphone mute button. Not only was the button seemingly broken as it would spam the mute on/off over and over, but this button, despite the LEDs in the controller that are harnessing the power of the sun, does not have any indicator if you're muted or not. I feel like this is so basic that it's an inexcusable mistake, especially since the effort was taken to put vanity LEDs in other parts of the controller.Overall it is an alright controller, it works, feels nice, and none of the materials feel cheap in any way. The trigger button locks are a really cool addition. The flaws I've spoken about however make it difficult to play games with teams, I don't want to have my mic on all the time and there should be a quick look down indicator that I'm muted or not. The app is a clunky addition, I wish there was a simple button or even button combo like other controllers use to adjust the brightness of the vanity lights.Ver másVer menos
