Almost the perfect controller
This is an absolute game changer of a controller. Everything about this controller feels premium. From the moment you open the box and hold it in your hands, to using it to play, it is a premium experience. It has now become my favorite controller. The controller comes with a charge base, USB dongle, very generous length braided USB cable, and some dpad options. The feel of the controller is excellent. It has the same shape as a standard Xbox controller so it fits well in the hands. The colorway is absolutely beautiful shade of blue and well done all around. The faceplate and front grips can be removed and swapped if you want a different look, but the base of the controller is a transparent blue as well, and the buttons cannot be swapped, so you will always have some blue accents in there. The grips are textured on the front and soft rubber on the back which makes it easy to hold. The buttons are all microswitches and have a very clicky feel to them. The exception being the face buttons which use optical microswitches. These give the buttons a sturdy feel when pressed but still have the clicky response of microswitches, and they feel great to press. The rear triggers also have switches to change them from hall effect to microswitches for fast activation in FPS games. There are 2 buttons on the inside back as well as 2 more on the top near the bumpers. This controller packs all the features of an "elite" controller at a fraction of the price. The weight of the controller is heavier than a standard Xbox controller, but much lighter than the elite.As far as functionality, its ready to go out of the box. It was plug and play on my PC and worked great with my games. Response is excellent over the dongle connection. The dongle can be housed inside the dock as well so you can charge and connect your controller from the same port. The TMR sticks are great and make gameplay buttery smooth. This controller really comes alive with the software though, as it allows so much customization on the controller it can really become a weapon for PC gaming. It has become my absolute favorite controller for PC gaming and has a permanent place on my desk.As far as downsides go, the only real complaint I have with it is the Xbox connection, which is sad because it is one of it's top billing features. The controller supports 2.4ghz and BT connection on PC and Android or Linux systems and it works great. However, the Xbox connection is wired only. It is still a great controller to use on Xbox, but having to run a wire across my living room is not ideal. To be fair, they are upfront about this and never say that it supports Xbox wireless, but it really seems like a missed opportunity. It might work with a controller adapter like a Brook or something similar, but native support would have made this the ultimate controller for me. Also, none of the customizations from the PC software will carry over to the Xbox. It also does not seem to work on Switch in BT mode, but it was never advertised to. Again, would probably work with a controller adapter if you really wanted it to.Overall this is a solid controller and a beast on PC and Linux. Definitely my favorite of all my controllers so far. I would highly suggest for PC or Linux (cough...Steam Machine), or even android. As for Xbox, its great if you don't mind the wire.Ver másVer menos

A great all around wireless controller for PC, Android, and Xbox (wired.)
I'm a fan of GameSir controllers, I have several of them. This is another excellent controller to the lineup.The fit and finish is excellent using high quality materials. The layout is fairly straightforward and uses a modified Xbox layout. The fit in the hand is really good with rubber grips on the bottom and a general shape and feel that is very comfortable.The color scheme used is Aim Labs themed with a transparent light blue that transitions to black. The grips are transparent light blue, and joysticks are black, the A,B,X, and Y buttons are black with light blue text. The stand and the well made breaded USB-C cord are also black continuing the Aim Labs theme.The top plate and the plates on the handles are removable and held on by magnets. They can be swapped out for others plates designed for G7 series of controllers.All the primary buttons have soft micro switches.And the A, B, X, and Y buttons feel great.The smoke black D-pad is also micro switched, and feels great with a swappable top. There are three D-pad tops included. A traditional cross-shaped D-pad. A disc shaped D-pad. And an in-between D-pad that is a disc with raised Cardinals on it, I prefer using this one.The triggers are analog hall effect with switches to change it to a micro switch short throw trigger. The programmable buttons on the back also have switches to physically disable them if so desired.The joysticks are very smooth and responsive TMR, and have metal collars around the shaft with plastic bumpers built into the faceplate to improve the smoothness even further.The force feedback on this controller is strong and responsive, producing very little rattling in the controller. There are four motors, two in the grip and two smaller ones in the triggers. I did have some trouble with the force feedback working on Xbox. Lowering the poling rate to 250 seemed to solve this using the GameSir Nexus software.The included charge stand is a nice addition. A perfect fit for the controller that just rests on top. The stand has a spot in the base with a cover to connect the wireless adapter, simplifying the set up as well as helping you from losing the wireless dongle.There is a switch on the bottom of the controller to switch between wireless dongle and Bluetooth, it also has a mid position that seems to just turn off the controller (handy.)I've mainly used the controller with my PC. Though it works great with Android on Bluetooth, and well with Xbox corded. Plugging in the cable will override dongle or Bluetooth mode and just work as a wired controller.The GameSir Nexus software is a nice addition that gives you fine tune control over the behavior of your controller. As well as updates the firmware. I did find the software a little buggy, but there where updates that helped improve it. There are versions of the GameSir Nexus software for Windows and Xbox only. I wish they had it for Mac and Linux as well.Overall, this is a great well made, smooth performing and very responsive wireless controller. The Aim Labs color theme is attractive to look at. My only serious quibble is for Xbox being wired only.If you don't need support for Xbox, and have a Nintendo Switch. I would consider the GameSir G7 Pro 8k instead, For $10 more, you get a debateably more responsive and smoother controller that supports the Switch.

The perfect gaming controller
So this is actually my third GameSir G7 Pro, I have another one identical to this one, and one of the new Xbox Series X ZZZ edition ones. I have three custom made Series X Elite gen 2, that I have custom built, and a few other high end controllers, those will remain nameless as I do not wish to slander them, they are spectacular in their own rights, but after owning these, their super high prices don't justify what you get when you compare them to the GameSir controllers. They basically all have the same components, but these not only match their performance, they exceed them in each way imo, and for a literal third of the price. The TMR sticks are spectacular, laser perfect accuracy, and the clicky buttons feel so good, no drag, no sticking, just a perfect tension click and release. The hall triggers work very well, my only complaint, and it's literally a personal preference item, is that the secondary single click button for the RB/LB is placed just past the button and trigger, I would have loved this to be placed to the rear, along with the extra rear buttons, similar to a normal elite series 2 Xbox controller, but that's really just a personal thing, the button functions perfectly, as do the nice and large, comfortable rear buttons. I was worried I would click them accidentally, as they are very large pads on the "handle" backs, but no, they have a perfect placement and tension, easy to click when you need, a natural reflex placement and movement, but just out of the way enough to where you don't accidentally pull or press them, or set the controller down on them. The controller will run literally all day on a single charge, and the 8k refresh is perfect for never having any connections issues either. I know I seem like I am fanboying on this controller, but it instantly became my favorite out of all that I have (I have a controller collection problem lol). Also, as a side note, the ZZZ edition Xbox exclusive wireless one they make, is equally perfect fyi. If you want a high end gaming controller that will never have stick drift, or failing buttons, this is your stop.Ver másVer menos

No drift sticks are so worth it
I'm old now, in gaming years, but I still like to play competitive games on PC. I also am a bit snobby about wires. I have a wireless mouse, keyboard, headset, and now a high quality wireless gaming controller for my PC. This controller gives me the ultra low latency & no-stick-drift TMR sticks (hallelujah). As an old I need these tiny advantages now, I also need my tidy desk.My main game is rocket league, but I also like to play shooters on controller. This thing lets me put dead zones at 0.00. Literally. I am one year in on my G7 Pro and my dead zone is at 0.0. I tested it just now on hardwaretester and the sticks are at 0.000002. Go try it with your xbox controller, it won't even look that like fresh out of the box. Insane technology compared to me wearing out stacks of standard controllers. I will literally never buy a PC controller without the TMR stick thing again.This is my second G7 Pro, but not because I'm having issues, not even as a backup. Just to send to my friend because he's still using a stock Xbox controller with stickdrift and a busted up LB button. Don't be like him, just do your self (and your duo) a favor and get the nice controller. It's barely any more than a stock controller and it's 100x better.It does have a stand for battery charging and I've only used it with me putting that on the stand every night. Held up to my moderate gaming sessions but I haven't tested the actual battery life outside that. There are also programmable buttons and such, but I don't care about that stuff at all tbh. Only annoyance is for the 1000hz functionality (or the programmable buttons & firmware updates) you need to download a piece of G7 software. I don't love downloading software for gaming peripherals but the trade off is worth it for me in this case. Overall, it's just so nice to have a dependable controller that's not completely cooked within a year. Still 0.0 deadzone and it still blows my mind a little.Ver másVer menos
