Outstanding Performance
The ASUS RT-BE90U Tri-Band WiFi 7 Router has been an excellent upgrade for my home network. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the ASUS Router app made configuring everything easy, even with multiple devices connected.The WiFi 7 performance is outstanding. Speeds are consistently fast, coverage is excellent throughout the house, and the connection remains stable even with heavy streaming, gaming, video calls, and smart home devices running at the same time. The dedicated 6 GHz band and Multi-Link Operation (MLO) help reduce latency and improve overall responsiveness on compatible devices.I also appreciate the four 2.5Gb Ethernet ports, built-in AiProtection security, and the ability to expand coverage later with AiMesh if needed. These features make it a great long-term investment for anyone looking to future-proof their home network.While WiFi 7 devices are still becoming more common, this router works seamlessly with older WiFi 5 and WiFi 6 devices as well, making it a worthwhile upgrade today. Great Easy to use and Reliable Router
This is my second ASUS router and love this brand. I did have to shop around for a price that I could afford for home use but this one does the job and works great. Easy to setup and manage. I switched from DirecTV to streaming and added Starlink to my setup. Starlink is perfect even in stormy weather. Never drops or fails unlike DirecTV which we would loose with a simple rain storm. Anyway, ASIS router works great with Starlink and didn't have any difficulty. I inserted ASUS router and did NOt use Starlink as it does not offer enough security that I require. Bypassing the Starlink router and using my ASUS router made my streaming a bit faster.Ver másVer menos

Stability
The Asus router very good and stable on WiFi. It reaches 1500 ft through out the house.

Great product and iOS smartphone application
Great router, fast and reliable. Joining my old ASUS router to AiMesh was simple and has been working well so far. The iOS smartphone app is well designed and implemented, providing a lot of good functionalities. Highly recommended.

Why I will never buy another ASUS product.
Alternate Title: What this router taught me about ASUS and buffer bloat. I had a pair of ASUS RT-AX1800S routers set up in ai mesh using Xfininty as my ISP (all that was available to me at the time). Not super-fast but everything seemed to work okay. We were able to stream video without an issue. Our neighborhood got fiber optic, so we upgraded and it’s fast. Unfortunately, we immediately started having issues with choppy streaming that often stops and buffers. At first, I was convinced it was our new ISP and their upstream connection. Our speed tests were blazing. AFTER working with them that turned out not to be the case. I figured I must need an upgrade to my network, so I got this router. I made this new router the AIMesh master and rearranged the location of my two older routers for better coverage. WIFI speeds are much better, but our buffering issue persisted. After some research and running some tests, I discovered our real problem was buffer bloat. Turning on QoS optimization and prioritizing video streaming made no noticeable difference in the buffer bloat. It’s a router issue and the solution is something called Smart Queue Management (SQM). ASUS firmware does not support SQM, you can flash some ASUS routers with an open-source firmware to get SQM functionality, but this router isn’t one of them likely due to hardware constraints. Why should I have to go to the trouble of some open-source firmware anyway? ASUS is playing a game; they sacrifice pretty much everything for speed ignoring things like latency and jitter. The number on the box is what sells routers. Don’t fall for it like I did.Ver másVer menos

Excellent router!
Excellent router. Set up a mesh network with two older low end Wifi 6 routers (RT-AX1800S) to get wifi outside and in detached garage. Super easy to setup. Have a main network and two guest networks (VLANed) to keep a few devices separated. Works excellent!
