This grandma loves her new printer! I’m not the most tech savvy human, but I found the setup very easy and my bad back appreciates that this unit is lightweight and easy to move. Prints look great and I like that HP will send me ink when the supply is low. I hate when I run out of ink in the middle of a project! Super easy to print by phone or our two laptops. Haven’t used the scanner yet, but rarely need to use one. Good feature to have, though.My printer use is sporadic, but the ink subscription allows you to adjust your average use to suit your needs.I’m very happy with my purchase so far.Ver másVer menos

NO GOOD! Do not purchase this. You'll be sorry if you do.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER! It is a piece of junk. I'm not joking either.Normally when I've bought low cost ink jet printers in the past, they work just fine and last at least a few years before needing to be changed. There is no need to pay large prices for a printer these days, like it was back in 1986 when laser jet printers first appeared in the market, because these things are mass produced to keep the cost down through high volume selling.What I'm experiencing with this printer is that no matter what I try to do to hook it up to my PC, the connecting procedure will not see the printer, either through USB cable or through wireless. I keep unplugging and reconnecting the printer and its power as the instructions say and I even use the "Diagnose and Fix" program and nothing. It did connect once and did a evening's worth of printing, but that was about it. Most of the time I can't get it to print at all. Even though I'm past the 30 days to return the item, I'm going to contact Amazon to talk about this to get a credit back on the purchase given I've been a long time customer of Amazon at age 70.Just be forewarned this thing is not worth your time. Go past it and look for something else. It's sad to day this about HP, because most of the time their printers are gems, but this thing is no good and it is coming into my life when I have serious business paperwork presentations I need printed to a bank covering my mortgage, which I need help on. I don't need this kind of unreliability at my age.I did ask Google Gemini about this particular printer and it told me the reports on this printer are a lot: A lot of complaints that it does not work most of the time. If I had through to check Gemini first, I would not have bought this printer. However the good reports on the printer on Amazon were good, before making the purchase. So I went ahead with the purchase.If you make the purchase and you read this testimony, know you were warned. I seldom take the time to write reports on products. I don't have the time, but this one really got to me and so I thought I'd take the time to share what I'm experiencing as a long time Amazon customer.Ver másVer menos

Good printer on a cheap price
When I ordered this printer I did not check the reviews since I was in a hurry in getting a printer. Only after I placed my order I saw the reviews and see all the hate for it. I even went to social media to see what people thought of it and it was a lot of hate for it and how terrible it was which made me super worried that I spent money on something that didn't even work. I was close to canceling my order but decided to give it a try since I did not have much to spend.When it arrived the packaging was fine and the printer was in great condition. Setting it up was quite easy for me and simple since everything was through the app. I printed a few papers first to see how it goes and it went smoothly, no jam, it doesnt take long to process only a few second, the printing is fast, and the copy scanner works well too.I saw some terrible review about the ink consumption being so bad that it runs out of ink in just a day with few papers. So far I have printed around 100 papers in a day and the printer also shows how much ink is left and even after 100 papers it has not gone down a lot, unless you are printing more than 100+ papers for a lot of times.Overall this printer works really good for me and it is enough for someone like me who is a college student and its budget friendly too so I would give it a shot.Ver másVer menos

I was amazingly impressed how easy it was to set up this printer. I needed to be able to print from my iPhone due to my laptop not working. The print quality and speed are good. No complaints here.

Set up can be aggravating
Nice printer, exactly what I needed for home use. But, HP needs to do more to make set up less complicated. I had to reset my wifi router five times, plug unplug turn on turn off the printer over and over. I finally called the HP 800# and got AI to help me. I had to even restart my phone for the app to work after I had installed and uninstalled three times. There's some kind of protocol setting these up now. I had AI send a concise summary of the steps to my email in case spectrum wifi gets knocked off. And the HP app has changed now. It's comprehensive and you don't have one app to print and one for settings and other issues, it's combined now. Printing from pdf's is much easier to track. I didn't go for the ink deal bc I don't print too much to matter. All in all for $50 it will do fine.Ver másVer menos

Reasonably Priced (at the time of writing) and Works Well!
Easy Set Up: I see many reviews saying setting it up was unnecessarily difficult but I found it was pretty easy when done on a PC vs a phone. I downloaded the app to my phone but the printer couldn't connect to my phone for some strange reason so I pivoted to doing the install on my laptop. Yes, there are a few windows and set up screens (I think they could make that part more streamlined) but once it was set up, the printer works like a charm!Easy Ink Install: For those of us born in the 70s and 80s we all know too well how to insert ink cartridges into a printer so this part was very easy for me. Even though I haven't used a printer in over a decade, muscle memory made this step very easy.3-Month Free Ink Trial: Also, easy. Someone's review said they couldn't figure out how to sign up but one of the (many) windows that comes up during install and setup was the one to create an account for this program and start the free trial.I'm assuming most of the bad reviews noting the complexity of setting the printer up were individuals either trying to use their phones or people who have never had a printer and was unfamiliar with how to insert ink cartridges. I do agree with them that the instructions could be more clear and the process better streamlined to remove many of the steps but overall for me it was easy.Ver másVer menos
