It's about time comfort and quality come together!
UPDATE 07.15.2026:The auto switch mode for audio does NOT work as intended on the PS5.Each time the console is turned on/comes out of rest mode, it will auto-default to the headset even if it is powered off.While playing and the headset is powered off, the console will not change to the other audio source automatically. You will need to adjust the audio output manually when not using the headset.I will not be changing my rating because of this, but it is disappointing this issue hasn't been addressed since these have been out a while.Original review:To be fair with the title, I need to explain.I have large ears. I also wear glasses. For many, many years, I've tried various headsets that just don't fit right to allow me to wear them for hours while gaming. Either the weight pushes down on my ears, forcing the glasses to dig in (and that really does hurt after a while), or they'll be comfortable while sounding like I'm listening through tin cans.Today, my search has finally come to an end. These are the best gaming headphones I have ever used.For starters, these are extremely light as compared to others I've used, including the Hyper X I was using before trying these. This light weight means there's no push on my glasses. I've worn these for 8+ hours per day for weeks and I have yet to feel any discomfort from my glasses. THANK YOU to all those who designed this (likely many who have large ears and wear glasses too - lol).Of course, comfort is just part of the package. Sound quality is also important, and these just blew me away. I play ESO frequently and I'm hearing sounds from this game I either never noticed before or just because of how sound is introduced through the speakers.I don't want to mislead to say these are "surround" sound, because sounds are limited by the game design itself. That said, it does appear these aren't simple speakers.As an example, I was idling while looking at my map and an insect buzzed by. The sound not only started from the left to right ear, but also from front to back (due to how I was standing). I had never heard this before and I was quite impressed.I also hear background sounds so clearly. Not just the typical sounds I've heard before, but distant sounds, of which don't over power but are clearly audible! The sounds of this game are truly remarkable as this headset really pushes them clear and balanced. I often stop just to listen to the game because it's that gorgeous.(another example is standing in a forest area and hearing distant birds and animals while also hearing those I can see around me - just an incredible audible experience in how distance carriers over sound).Another enjoyment I do is walk around in Night City in Cyberpunk 2077. Again, the incredible new sounds the game has is making this experience even better for me. Not to criticize older headsets, but technology has definitely come a long way to take something as "game sounds" and translate this into an immersive experience.The sound quality is just as good for a game like Stardew Valley as well. Just crystal clear ambient sounds. Beautiful.I cannot talk about the functionality of its BT component (using it for music/phone) because I bought these solely to use on the PS5. One of these days, I'll enable BT to test it out so expect an update when I do.In the meantime, I'm buying a second pair as backup. These are just too good to risk losing over future "improvements" (which rarely are) or become discontinued.Thank you so much, Razer. My search is finally over. :)Ver másVer menos
