Intuitive, reliable, and feature rich.
It is very intuitive. I would recommend this for anyone entering university who doesn't have a scientific calculator. It can essentially do just about anything you could want, minus graphing. Before getting this, however, I would recommend seeing if you can get the fx-JP900CWS-N, which is the (as of writing this review) most recent version of this calculator with more constants and conversions built into it. However, from my experience with using this calculator for a modern physics course, what this version has is more than sufficient.As for the user experience, it is VERY menu-heavy, which can impact how quickly you navigate it. I don't mind that layout, especially since it allows you to use buttons to navigate through the menu quicker (like specific buttons for specific things within menus and submenus). It also seems quite sturdy, especially compared to the flimsy TI-30XIIS my school had been recommending. Additionally, this calculator uses one AAA battery and does not have the ability to use solar power. That is sortof a good and a bad thing, but it does have an indicator for when the battery is running low.Overall, I'd say it is a very solid and reliable calculator, and you can't go wrong with picking it.
