  Enthusiast board that will last many years.

  Bought this simply for future proofing my rig; performs excellently and the high speed USB ports should be sufficient for the next 10 years.

  Really like the board.

  Beautiful board with great features. The board itself felt very sturdy and well put together. This was my first time building a PC, and this board made it really easy with the DIY features. I have only been using it for about a week now, but so far so good. It is paired with a MSI RTX 5090 Vanguard, and Ryzen 7 9850 X3D.   Stable

  I built a rig with high-end components, but tried to save money with a value (MSI Pro) motherboard, and was plagued with stability problems anytime I tweaked BIOS in search of better performance. Then I swapped the motherboard for this beautiful piece of engineering. It oozes quality. All the stability issues disappeared and it handles undervolting and overclocking smooth as butter.   2-month update: I had to remove one star from 5 to 4 since the board did not meet the expectations after using it for 2 months. I got 9950x and 192Gb of RAM and unfortunately this board wasn't able to work stable with these two even with updated BIOS. Constant freezes even in stock CPU settings and underclocked RAM at 3600MHz which is 1600MHz lower than it should be (at least). I've been trying to make it work for 2 months with no luck. Got TUF B850 and it works fine with OC'd CPU and RAM at 5200MHz.For anyone who is not using 4 DIMMs, this board may be a good choice. I had to move on.Original review:Pros:This is the best looking motherboard I have ever had, even though it will be hidden behind CPU cooler and giant GPUs. It is very sturdy and heavy with a metal backplate.It is one of the best motherboards for a dual GPU setup (including the price) since it has 16 non-shared lanes going to both PCIex16. When using single GPU, all 16 lanes will go to that and if using dual, it will split to 8 lanes to each GPU.Third PCI port is sharing lanes with I believe one M.2 and will disable it if M.2 if used.There are a total of five M.2 slots.The motherboard has plenty of power inputs - 3 x 8-Pin connectors and even the main board connector has an additional 6-Pin connector right next to your main 24-Pin. My PSU does not come with 24+6 so I am only using 24-Pin.MSI has a really good online support with live chat, where agents respond to you withing 1-3 minutes. COmparing to the Gigagbyte support who asked me to send a request and it could take them weeks to respond with not even a valid solution.Cons:This is not as much of a problem with MSI motherboards but rather the whole industry's issue - this motherboard will not let you run WiFi on Win10. The hardware does not even have a driver to be working on Win10. I had this issue on my Aorus and never managed to fix it so I bought an external PCIe WiFi card.   Excellent features, but minor quality concerns on arrival

  I purchased the MSI MEG X870E ACE MAX for $727.53 and was very excited to receive it, as this motherboard is clearly positioned as a flagship product with premium features and design.During my initial inspection after unboxing, I noticed some rust on the magnetic contact/area of the M.2 heatsink cover located above the PCIe slot (the cover labeled “ACE”). While the issue appeared mostly cosmetic, it was still surprising to see on a brand new motherboard in this price range.I also noticed a few minor scratches on the black heatsink near the MSI lighting area. These were small details, but again something I did not expect from a premium product.At the time there were no replacement units available, and shortly after the return process the price increased to $979.99, which made replacing it difficult. I was able to partially clean the rust using isopropyl alcohol, which improved the appearance, but ideally this kind of issue should not occur on a high-end motherboard.Aside from these cosmetic issues, the motherboard itself looks excellent and offers an impressive feature set. I simply hope MSI and retailers can ensure better quality control and storage conditions for premium products.Ver másVer menos
