Very Good e-Ink Tablet - terrible pen/case attachment
One star off for the case and pen attachment.I have several e-ink tablets including a Kindle Scribe( which I love and still use). I bought this one because it is more android capable and you don't have to jump through hoops to share notes between devices. There is a learning curve when you switch from a Scribe. I can share notebooks through OneNote. The 5C has color capability... it isn't anywhere near computer/ipad color but ALL e-ink tablets have more subdued color capabilities. But the color is there and it does make looking at certain maps, pics, etc much better. The 5C feels lighter than the Scribe. Writing on the 5C is a bit different but feels good. I use the Scribe premium pen on the 5C which makes erasing a bit easier. AI features are robust enough that even my poor penmanship can be read and converted to text almost flawlessly. The 5C feels sturdy and well built. About the same size as the Kindle Scribe. The case designed for the 5C and the magnetic pen "wrap" is less than acceptable. The case I bought for the Scribe has a slot into which the pen can rest securely, held in by the case/scribe magnet. I missed that feature. I bought a case designed for the 4C with the same sort of slot. BUT, the 5C buttons are on the right side and pressed on the inside wall of the pen slot making it unusable by the 5C... UNTIL... I cut out that inner wall leaving room for the buttons - which I can still access. The pen fits nicely and securely into the case slot... just as it did on the Scribe. I'm happy.PROS: Color, robust writing features, notes sharing, okay battery life (not as good as scribe), able to use android apps - like browsers etc.CONS: Learning curve, terrible pen/case attachmentWith the additional features and increased capabilities I would recommend this product. It is a bit expensive, but worth it to those who need/want a robust note taking device. i would buy it again. Find an alternate case!Ver másVer menos

OK eReader, horrible case, horrible stykus
The eReader is OK despite being on older Android versions. The screen is dim and difficult to read in some environments even on highest brightness. The case is awful. It stains so easy and nothing will wipe off it. Go with a darker color. The light brown one I received looks awful after 1 day. The stylus falls apart. Very poorly made. Overall pretty disappointed. I probably wouldn't recommend.Ver másVer menos

stuck on old Android versions; apps stop working
Boox says they won't update the Android version on tablets that are more than 3 years old. Many apps will stop working after a couple years when they stop updating. They need to support devices longer to win me back. Buyer beware! Really poor support for a device of that costs this much.Ver másVer menos
