My new MUST have.

One month in: Did I mention game-changer before? That is still the bottom line. I love this device. It is small enough to take with me most places so I can jot notes when needed (it is not with me 100% of the time, but when I would carry or need a notebook). The battery life is great. I don't plan on challenging it anytime soon like some reviewers. It works for me quite well.I mentioned downloading templates and those truly are a massive upgrade. I use a notebook template that translates into my personal stuff, a work notebook (think tabbed) for each item I need to keep track of; a meeting notebook with lots of great template fields (see photo); a project planning template (not used too much yet); and a daily journal. The daily journal was one I didn't think I would use, but it is quickly becoming my everyday to do list. It has fields for each day, but then more open notes for that day allow me to develop a task list. At the end of the day, if I have any uncompleted tasks, I easily cut them and move them to the next day to carry on.Overall, still impressed with this little guy!****************************************************************Its early yet, but wow!I own a "Kickstarter" second generation digital paper tablet. I liked both but couldn't "get into it." The screen was kinda small, more square as well. I gave one away and the other sits on my computer desk at the home office--pretty much wasting away (there are some notes I still use in it). Plus it is only grayscale. My problem is that I couldn't find a very good work flow.I have watched a few people use the remarkable 2 pro--a great looking product. My main issue with it was price and more importantly, it was large. For some that is great. For me, as I have most recently found out was not.I have a nice tablet. I would love to use it more. The reason I don't is size. I don't like to carry anything too large. Tablets have to have a cover and the pen clings precariously to the outside (my $90 version gets lost frequently). So, there goes the workflow if it doesn't travel with me often.Enter the Paper Pro Move. I kept checking this thing out when it first came out. My gadget sense went through the roof. Never really messed with it though as the price tag is a bit high.Fast forward.I kept seeing both the Move and RP2 advertised and some people using the latter. I have 3 legal tablets (real, yellow paper) on my desk at work and another at home. I got into the habit of writing on them a lot but then the pages get lost or I just end up throwing them away. Not much organization or workflow.The other day I got to see a move in person. OH! So nice. So attractive. I kept researching and watching review videos.I bit the bullet ($449, basic; plus the better pen and worth it; and extra nibs). The good news I had $100 plus in Amazon credits . So I splurged. For a smaller version of the RP2 (and yes, in color).It arrived SO quickly (5am delivery anyone?) I unboxed it. GREAT packaging. Everything was there. The Move itself felt fantastic. It felt "heavy" and seemed like it will last--even on the move (later found out that it was built with durability in mind, for those of us on the go). This unit feels great in one hand. It looks cool as hell too. The pen is held on magnetically but man it is a strong magnet. It also charges that way. The Move charges via USB-C as usual and seems to hold its batter life very well so far.I started using it right away. It feels like writing on paper and is pretty responsive. They need to fix a tiny little lag when the screen refreshes. Writing is timely though. After writing "testing" a few times and autographing it. I just kind of looked at it. Now what?Well, a quick search and I found some kickass and highly recommended templates (on Etsy of all places, for $24). YOU HAVE TO GET TEMPLATES--GAME CHANGER! TabletTemplates.com is the site. And yes you can make your own. But......My workflow has already changed. One template is for meeting notes. Another is a daily journal. The 3rd is a notebook. I won't go into these--check them out yourselves and ENJOY.The Move is fantastic. Even with a protective folio (buy the $18 version) it slips snuggly into my back pockets. Finally, a note pad that can go with me and hold TONS of notes and writings. I love to write on the Move, which makes me want to use it regularly and often. It is a game-changer for my workflow now.The screen is very crisp and easy to read. It has 9 different pen types with 3 different thicknesses. It carries 9 colors (including black). It is easy to navigate the menus ( and once you find your main writing utensil, you don't change it much). You can create folders, notebooks, or just choose "quick note" to get you writing quickly. This will replace all those notepads (I am keeping my post-its close by).This is a great device that will actually change how I work and get better organized. My mind is racing with the possibilities.One issue: To get a full experience, you should subscribe ($2.99 month) to the reMarkable Connect service. First month is free. For the price we pay, this is a bit of an insult but a necessity. It is much easier to import templates. Also, you can put the app on your phone or desktop, and then just open your phone to view (only) those shopping lists.I could go on and on about this--but read other reviews and the product descriptions for everything this does. GREAT ALTERNATE OR ADD TO AN ALREADY GREAT PRODUCT

I bought the original a couple of years back and have used it extensively. I was hoping a smaller version might become available and here we go! I keep this in my briefcase along with laptop. I wanted something slim and not bulky that I can put in my pocket. This has color and I really like that (my original larger one does not) When the boss call me to her office, I can pick up this up and away I go.Since it syncs with the REMARKABLE cloud, my other notes are all available on this one which is super important to me. Always taking notes for whatever project coming up and this smaller size is great for that. Very responsive unit and syncs quickly.I do think the case is ridiculously overpriced so I will wait for the market to come up with a cheaper alternate. Considering the price point, it is too bad they could not have included a basic protective case but neither do tablets to oh well.Magnet on the pen is stronger than the first gen version and that is a plus. Pen is has a solid feel and it's own software updates. There seems to be a slight delay from writing until it shows up on screen. This very well could be me just perceiving this or maybe because I am using color now. I did not get that feel with the original one I have.Being smaller, you do have to move the page around more but that is to be expected with size and after using a couple of weeks, no problem. On the back are 4 little rubber feet so it does not slide around. NICE TOUCH. I really appreciate them thinking of that.Overall I have been very happy with the Paper Pro Move. Once the after-market case makers catch up I will have it protected and makes sure my investment is safe.Ver más

Not worth it

Where do I begin? Coming from someone that has always used their iPad for a notepad, I always wanted to transition to one of these e-ink tablets. Remarkable has been on the market for a while so I finally pulled the trigger on something that is small and powerful for daily use.Write out of the box the quality is great. It’s hefty, nice aluminum chassis and built really well. But that’s it, that’s all I have to say about it. From here on out it’s nothing but negative.The value of the money. Short answer, absolutely not. First there is light bleed on the tablet, and if you’re not familiar with light bleed it’s when the light is bleeding from the panels. The left and the right and the bottom portions are fine but on the top of the panel there is severe light bleed that I just couldn’t unsee. This is something you don’t get when paying premium quality.Second, my tablet was stuck asking me to update my device and every time I did it would ask me to update my device again even though it was already up-to-date. To this day it is still on the screen asking me to update when there’s no update. Poor software performance.Oh and speaking of poor software performance, don’t get me started on battery life. I charged this thing at 100%, started writing for about 30 minutes on and off to test it and it dropped to 70%. seriously? My phone last longer than this by miles. And this is using little to no backlight. Let’s not forget that remarkable advertised 1 to 2 weeks before charging. Battery life is abysmal, my tablet wouldn’t even last throughout the day with minimal notes.Lastly, you don’t even get access to all the features without subscribing to remarkable services. Are you kidding me? I’m paying $500 (500!) and I have to pay an extra three dollars a month to get additional templates to write on? This has got to be a joke. Wanna know what else you have to pay for? To search for something in your notebooks. That’s right, you have to pay 3$ a month to search for something in your tablet.And I can’t even believe they called his tablet a color screen tablet, when the colors are so dull and matte that you can’t even tell the difference between blue and black.All those reasons above make this tablet worth no more than $150 and that’s being very generous. A PlayStation 5, a decent laptop, a good iPad with a pencil all cost the same price as this 7.3 inch tablet that you can’t even load your Amazon Kindle books on and still have to pay for common features. Let that sink in.Now, onto my opinion. I don’t understand where this tablet fits when it comes to its size. It’s 7.3 inches, then including the bezel it’s about 9 inches long which is too big to just put in my pocket because it’s awkward, goofy and about to fall out especially with a case or the pencil on it. At the same time, it’s also way too small to be an actual notebook or a journal. So either you shove this thing in your pocket as best as you can, which won’t fit in most people’s jeans along with your phone and use it like that, or you shove it in your backpack, bag or purse but at that point you might as well get something bigger so where exactly does this thing stand? It’s an absolute glorified notepad, NOT a notebook.If you want an E ink tablet , get something bigger for the same price, or just get an iPad with an Apple Pencil. You can turn on airplane mode to eliminate all notifications, calls or messages, you can customize the screen to only focus on writing and and make your own writing tablet and then just pick up a paper like screen protector to make it feel like a notebook. It will be cheaper, funner, and well worth your money.This has got to be the worst purchase I ever made. I will be returning this 7 inch $500 notepad right away.

Wonderful writing and drawing experience with very limited functionality.

A really lovely and well-made device, but much too limited for my particular needs.If you’re looking for a simple device that is laser-focused on writing and drawing, is extremely portable, and largely free of distractions, this might work for you!Unfortunately, the Paper Pro Move is very limited, be design, and did not do everything I needed or expected it to.It has no apps, or third party integrations apart from being able to access Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive—and in a very limited capacity at that.This thing is specially designed for reading, creating, and editing PDFs, and that’s it. You can’t even get a live calendar or to-do list on it, everything is centered around static PDFs.I had hoped that side loading apps to add additional functionality might be an option, but the PPM is based on a special version of Linux, and while there is a way to jailbreak the device and add your own apps, there are very few, they are of homebrew quality at best, and require a lot of work to get onto the device and running.I wanted to at least be able to get a live view of my Office calendar, edit documents, and do simple internet-connected tasks in addition to taking notes and sketching, but that’s simply not what the Paper Pro Move was made for.I really enjoyed using it, the writing and design experience is leagues ahead of any Boox or Supernote tablet, but it was simply too limited for me to justify keeping, so I’ve sent it back.Ver más

Love reMarkable tablet

Absolutely love this! I use it daily for work and personal. Love the smaller size so I can take it everywhere. So easy to use and worth the money! Writing on it is easy and enjoyable.

Better Than Expected

I wasn't sure if this was going to fit the bill or not, but I'm finding it to be just what I needed. I use the Opera browser and the Remarkable Chrome extension works great. I can save articles directly to Move with it. I can also save emails, Instapaper and Inoreader articles as PDF's and import them in. Colors are better than I thought they would be and coming from the Remarkable 2, the light really makes a difference. Its smaller size makes it much more convenient. It's not quite pocket size unless I'm wearing a jacket, but any smaller just wouldn't work. All in all, I couldn't be happier with it.Ver más
