Moisturizing and glowy
Love this serum - I've bought this three times now. It's super moisturizing and makes my skin glow. I'm hoping it helps with dark spot prevention

This is a high quality serum that is packed with hero ingredients at significant strengths. I love that this formula contains 3% tranexamic acid, plus antioxidants such as niacinamide (7%), ascorbyl glucoside (2%), 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid (1%), and panthenol. This serum has a lightweight texture and does not leave any stickiness or oiliness behind. The serum is not too watery so it's easy to apply and it absorbs well into the skin. My skin looks brighter and more glowy after using this product for three weeks. I have sensitive skin and rosacea so I appreciate that this product is fragrance-free, and I did not experience any negative side effects. This serum is a little pricey but it's still a pretty good value for an effective Korean skincare product. Fantastic LayerLab cream!
This Layer Lab Firming Cream is a very nice hydrating cream with a delicate scent. I did not find it sticky, I found the texture to be somewhat thin and very hydrating... but I think a glassy finish is the goal... it gives that healthy looking finish. I'm not sure what it's doing, but I can feel it tingle a bit, and in a good way. I really love this stuff, I am 61, and I can notice the difference in the softness of my skin still in the morning when I use at night. I feel like my skin does look more hydrated daily. I've used it for about three weeks now. I love it and recommend it! It's 1.69 oz, so while it seems a bit pricey, the volume of product and the quality make it a value in my book.Ver másVer menos

Very STRONG
I received the LAYERLAB Niacinamide 7% & Tranexamic Acid 3% Dark Spot Appearance Serum and I think it is very strong. I am 40 yro with fine lines and wrinkles and I am used to actives (retinol, tretinoin, aha, bha, etc. ) including tranexamic acid and niacinamide in these % so I was surprised I found this product very strong and irritating. It is very thin liquid, which is why I think it absorbs faster, maybe deeper than others, I am not sure. At first, it reminded of the Paula’s Choice 10% niacinamide which I have used a lot of bottles in the past. Since the Layerlab is such a thin liquid I was excited I could use either day or night under my SPF or at night before other products, but after about a week, my skin was WRECKED, and very dry. I don’t think it is entirely the product’s fault since most times I apply products on damp skin and that enhances penetration, but as I said I have done that with other actives and not have this result. Perhaps I also used too frequently since I was excited by the thin texture. In conclusion, I would say proceed with caution. It is definitely lightweight, fast absorbing, and not sticky, but it can be very drying, so I would also check out Care:nel Melasma Treatment (niacinamide 5% tranexamic 2% 1 oz for $16), Labiora Care Cream (niacinamide 4% tranexamic 6%, 0.67 oz for $17), those have the consistency of a thicker serum and might be less irritating.Ver másVer menos
