Good drone for beginners!
Good drone for beginners. The SKYROVER S1 is very compact, easy to carry, and has a beautiful design. As my first drone, I’m really happy with it and excited to keep learning. When I first got it, I was honestly a bit nervous about flying it. Since I had no prior experience, I wasn’t sure how difficult it would be or if I might crash it right away. It did take me some time to get started, especially because I didn’t initially know how to turn it on or what the buttons were for. I had to search for tutorials online to figure things out, which helped a lot. As a complete beginner, I do wish the manual were more detailed and beginner-friendly, with clearer explanations of each function.Once I got the hang of the controls, the experience became much more enjoyable. The controller started to feel more intuitive after a few tries, and I became more confident with takeoff, landing, and basic movements. The drone also responds fairly smoothly, which makes it easier to practice and improve over time. The camera quality is clean and clear, especially in good lighting conditions. It’s great for casual photos and videos, and I was pleasantly surprised by how stable the footage looks for a drone at this price point. I’ve already had fun capturing simple shots around my neighborhood. The battery life is decent and gives me enough time to explore and practice without feeling rushed. Charging is also simple and convenient, which makes it easy to take it out regularly.Overall, this has been a great first drone experience. It’s budget-friendly, portable, and perfect for beginners who are just getting into flying drones.Ver másVer menos

Important Comments
The Skyrover S1 Mini Drone has quickly positioned itself as one of the most compelling alternatives to the industry-leading DJI Mini series. After putting this compact flyer through its paces, it is clear that Skyrover is aiming to offer "prosumer" features at a price point that undercuts the big names while maintaining impressive build quality.Equipped with a 1/2-inch Sony CMOS sensor, the S1 punches above its weight. It captures 4K video at 60fps, providing a level of fluidity that many entry-level drones lack. The 3-axis mechanical gimbal is the real hero here; even in moderate wind, the footage remains buttery smooth and level. For social media enthusiasts, the drone supports 2.7K vertical shooting, allowing you to capture content for TikTok or Instagram Reels without losing quality to cropping. What truly sets the S1 apart from other "budget" drones is its intelligence. It features Auto Track with Subject Lock, a feature usually reserved for more expensive models. During my tests, the drone did a commendable job of following a moving subject while maintaining a stable frame. The flight time is equally impressive, pushing up to 40 minutes per battery—roughly 10 minutes longer than the DJI Mini 4K.While the app experience is clearly "inspired" by DJI, it is intuitive and stable. The 39,000-foot transmission range ensures a reliable video feed even at a distance, and the safety features like Auto Return-to-Home (RTH) provide peace of mind for beginners. If you want a drone that feels and performs like a flagship but fits a mid-range budget, the Skyrover S1 is currently the best value on the market. It is the perfect entry point for those who want high-quality aerial cinematography without the $500+ price tag. This is less than 249g so it's no registration required. The flight time is about 40 minutes which is good enough for me.Ver másVer menos

Fantastic drone.
Fantastic drone. Battery life is great, rock solid in wind and the built in display is easy to see even in bright conditions. The drone responds to commands quickly. Returns to home every time. When the drone detects that battery life is low it gives you a verbal warning, counts down from ten and returns to home. It misses the landing target by only a foot or two. All functions of the built in screen controller work as they should. Make sure you get a memory card that’s at least 32 gigabytes if you plan on taking 4k 60 fps videos. Forward and down looking obstacle avoidance works as promised. I flew the drone directly at myself and at about two feet from me it refused to move any closer to me. The only negative is that the user manual is digital only ( no printed version) and it could be more detailed but once you fly the drone it’s pretty intuitive and I found that the instructions build into the controller is sufficient to make up for the manual. Believe the hype about Skyrover.Ver másVer menos

Excellent for Price
This is a great little drone that is very much worth the asking price. Do be warned that it doesn't have 360 obstacle detection, only front and down. Like all drones in this weight and price range it is also a bit on the fragile side. Overall though, this a great first drone and has an amazingly clear camera for what they are asking.Ver másVer menos

The Perfect Drone for Beginners – A Game Changer for Aerial Photography!
This is my very first drone, and after using it for several weeks, I can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. If you are someone who has been sitting on the fence about diving into the world of drones because of the perceived "steep learning curve," this is the model that will change your mind. One of the standout features is how extremely lightweight and portable it is. It folds down into a very compact size, making it a dream to carry on long hikes or tuck into a backpack without feeling weighed down. Despite its small footprint, the build quality feels premium and durable, which gave me a lot of confidence during my first few flights. The setup was a breeze. I had it unboxed, calibrated, and in the air within fifteen minutes. The companion app is incredibly user-friendly, and the intuitive controls made me feel like a pro almost instantly. It features a very stable "Auto-Takeoff" and "Return-to-Home" function that works flawlessly—a must-have safety net for any beginner. Even in moderate breezes, the GPS-assisted flight kept the drone perfectly hovered, allowing me to focus on the scenery rather than worrying about the controls. The battery life is solid and reliable, giving me plenty of flight time to explore the landscape and capture high-quality shots without constantly checking the power meter. The camera quality is surprisingly crisp, with a gimbal that keeps the footage buttery smooth even during quick maneuvers. It captures colors beautifully, making my hiking videos look professional with very little editing required.Overall, this drone offers extraordinary value for the price. It strikes the perfect balance between advanced technology and ease of use. It’s an accessible, high-performing tool that has completely transformed how I document my travels. I highly recommend it to anyone starting their aerial photography journey—it’s an investment you won't regret!Ver másVer menos

NOT durable.
I will edit my review in the future if I see fit, as I've been dealing with customer service. My drone was delivered, I put it in my work truck ans the following morning, unboxed it at work and charged it. While it was charging I got everything set up on my phone. First day flying, I didnt even get through a full battery life. It lost signal and did some kind of landing, not back at the home point, just on the side of the road and landed right side up luckily. I turned it off, rebooted it, played with it a little more, absolutely loving it and ecstatic about it and how it operated, everything, I absolutely LOVED IT. I then decided, hey sport mode, lets see how fast it goes, which turns off the object sensors, clipped an overhead utility line and it tumbled down and snapped both right legs. I was sick, but thought you know, hey, it happens, I'll buy new legs and put on it and just know this thing is super fragile and be back up and running. NOT AVAILABLE. A few feet of a drop cracked the legs like a robin egg and I cant even get repair parts? There's also no customer service phone number to talk to a person, so you either have AI or a long wait through email, still to now be day 2 into this and I have no drone and no resolve. Learning to operate a drone I used a $150 G10 and its wiped out multiple times and still flying. As much as ai really loved this thing, so far, the customer service and lack or durability has me saying be cautious, I dont really know I'd recommend it. This all happened after about 5 guys of work I was telling "hey this thing is great, this is the one you want" then they also witnessed how fragile it is and that I'm not getting answers on parts, I dont know that they would really consider this drone at this point either.Ver másVer menos
