ELVATO
First impressions are good so far
Short review:I've had it less than a day, but impressions are good so far. it's a little smaller than my current JLAB Epic mouse, but not uncomfortably so. Clicks are a little louder than the JLAB, but definitely not clicky. I'm using it in BT mode, which limits polling to 125, which is perfectly fine for office work.Longer review:I have a JLAB Epic. The mouse functions still work, but after almost 3 years, the onboard screen no longer works. So it has become hard to determine what device it's connected to when trying to switch between my work and personal laptop. So it's been relegated to my work laptop only, as a backup.I initially bought an MX Master 4, but quickly returned it after finding out it has no onboard memory, so you have to install their Logitech software to be able to use the extra buttons and features. We can't install software on work laptops, so back the mouse went. The Asus Proart m301 looked attractive, but the limited reviews I could find indicated it was a clicky mouse. This Keychron was the alternative listed for the MX Master 4. So I'm trying that out. So far, so good. The spinner wheel does have two modes, "normal" and free-spinning. The free-spinning is definitely not as smooth or long lasting as the Logitech infinite scroll, but it's enough. Thankfully I don't have to scroll through infinite excel sheets to need that functionality. I will say that the button that switches between normal and free-spinning is LOUD compared to the other buttons, so be aware of that. The buttons themselves are nice. The left and right buttons are quiet, but do have a bit of a silent "cluck", at least compared to the clicks of the JLAB mouse. The JLAB clicks are essentially silent. Still, the Keychron ones will work fine for an office environment. Talking of buttons, the JLAB does have more variety, but I never used half of them.I won't comment too much on the polling, as I'm using it on Bluetooth, which is capped at 125. I could use the USB dongle to get a higher rate, but...why. At least for work, Bluetooth is so much more convenient when switching computers. The main thing I like with this mouse over the JLAB is this uses LEDs at the bottom to show which device is connected, DPI selection, and polling rate information, instead of a screen that could go back.Ver másVer menos
