After 14 nights in hotels, here’s why I switched from the Anker 3-in-1 to the ESR CryoBoost.
I'm a HUGE fan of Anker and have the very similar Anker 3-in-1 (https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Compatible-Certified-Palm-Sized-Non-Battery/dp/B0FHWK3W1S). I sort of thought it was peak travel charger and had been traveling with it for a few months. (And it really is also a fantastic product!)Then I came across this ESR charger. It looked very similar, but a few design differences caught my eye, so I decided to give it a try. And boy, am I glad I did! After comparing them side by side, I actually prefer the ESR in almost every way.First, it’s noticeably slimmer and packs a little more elegantly in my travel bag. Second, I much prefer the Apple Watch placement. Having the watch charge angled in Nightstand Mode is surprisingly useful in hotels, and it just feels like a more thoughtful design than on the top lying flat.I was also skeptical about the CryoBoost fan, assuming it would be more marketing than substance. I was wrong. You can actually feel the airflow, and my iPhone stays noticeably cooler while charging. I think it is just as quiet as the Anker but at least feels more effective.Charging has been fast and reliable, and the magnets hold everything securely. Build quality also feels excellent. The only thing I wish ESR offered is a white version.I can’t yet comment on long-term durability, and that’s where Anker has built an outstanding reputation over many years, of course. But, based on my experience so far, ESR has produced an exceptional travel charger. If it proves to be as durable as it is well designed, I think it may have become my new favorite travel charging station.Ver másVer menos
