Quality and Performance, Amazing Price Point

By far, one of the best controllers I've used to date. I'm a PC gaming and I've always used official xbox controllers for their reliability and joystick configuration. I've always wanted to try more of what's conssidered a "performance" controller; better joystick, extra buttons, profiles, etc. most are really expensive and have mixed reviews and when I heard companies like "PowerA" and "Gamesir" who were typically known for cheap knockoff's started making affordable "performance" controllers, I was interested. After doing some research I settled on this Gamesir G7 Pro.. I've found your getting quality where it matters: joysticks. buttons, rumble feature and software everything else is just extra in my opinion.Some of the reasons I really like this controllers: First, you can feel the quality out of the box, the face buttons feel like mouse clicks, the joysticks are anti drift TMR, which u can replace without any tools! and the hall effect triggers feel amazing. Rumble motors in the controller AND triggers, 4 profiles with a dedicated button for switching (no need to switch using the pc app) Instead of 4 extra buttons in the back you get 2 extra at the top and 2 in the back that are placed better then any other controller i've seen yet, a very sturdy charging base and lastly this wonderful bracket that helps protect the USB cable if and when you need to plug it in.Its clear a lot of thought went into creating this product and at a price points of $79 you can't beat it!Ver más

This is the best controller I have used in years

This is the best controller I have used in years. I have been using the GameSir G7 Pro for a while now, and honestly, it completely blows most first-party pro controllers out of the water.The Mag-Res TMR sticks feel incredibly smooth and accurate, and knowing they wont start drifting in a few months is a massive relief. The mechanical micro-switches on the face buttons and D-pad also give you an awesome, tactile click. It feels more like a mechanical gaming mouse than a mushy controller. On top of that, playing on PC with the 1000Hz mode feels practically instant with zero noticeable input lag. The included magnetic charging station that automatically stops charging when full is another huge quality-of-life feature that sits cleanly on my desk.For a couple of minor issues, the GameSir Nexus app lets you customize absolutely everything like stick curves and gyro, but the interface takes a bit of getting used to. Also, flicking the physical hardware switch on the back to jump between Xbox and PC works perfectly, but the switch itself is a bit recessed.Overall, if you play on both PC and Xbox, this is a no-brainer. Getting Hall Effect durability, mechanical switches, and a charging dock at this price point is an incredible deal. It feels premium, performs like a tournament pad, and is built to last. Best controller on the market!

Objectively the best.Steam controller feels like a plastic brick and only works through stream.PlayStation controllers feel terrible in my opinion and don’t have native windows support.The Xbox elite controllers are awful quality and extremely over priced. They’re barely better than the standard controller.This one, feels amazing in hand. The buttons and sticks and triggers all feel excellent. The fact that it comes with a dock is amazing!Also tmr sticks so no drift!Another cool thing is that the dock has a usb pass through so you can put the wireless dongle inside it and it is hidden in a compartment so it looks clean and seamless and ends up only taking one usb port on your computer to both connect the controller and charge it!I’ll probably use this controller for the rest of my life because I’ve seen gaming evolve since the 90s and nobody will ever make a controller better than this.Ver más

Really worth the upgrade from G7 SE?

I bought this as an upgrade to my Gamesir G7 SE, which performed like a beast: no drift, great feel, extra-buttons, multiple profiles... It got to the end of the line after a lot of years of service.So I thought: since I liked the G7 so much, the G7 Pro must be pretty much the same thing with a couple extra features... NO! I was wrong. VERY WRONG:Buttons: Almost ALL buttons are sitting in switches, so all buttons presses feel clicky (like that same feel you get when pressing the LB/RB buttons in the G7 SE), but now in EVERY button. Not sure if this made for buttons to survive more presses, but it just feels weird to get this feel on every button (including D-PAD), it makes it feel cheap. G7 SE feels way more natural.Gripping: The controller itself feels more sturdy than the G7 SE, it feels way more like a real PRO controller. It has a nice grip finish, I would say it would be really hard for it to slip away. So G7 Pro beats G7 SE.Functionality: Here is where the UPGRADE part really shines when comparing SE vs PRO. The G7 SE it's JUST a wired controller which you can connect to an PC and an Xbox (that's all I tested with), but that's it, you either plug it to any of these and play on them. G7 Pro, on the other hand, allows wireless gaming in PC, Bluetooth for Android and wired PC/Xbox gaming, it REALLY feels like an upgrade. If you care about wireless gaming and android connectivity, this upgrade really makes a difference. If you play wired regardless, then it offers you the same as G7 SE.App: This is the other piece of upgrade that moves the scale to G7 Pro side. G7 SE used GameSir Nexus Legacy which serves it's purpose: it lets you configure the controller profile and set the button bindings. The G7 PRO app (Gamesir Nexus) is way more complete as it allows you to tweak deadzone, SET KEYBOARD AND FUNCTION BINDINGS INTO THE EXTRA BUTTONS (this is huge)Bottom line: I'm having a hard time getting used to the top extra buttons positioning, and the feels of clicking each button is really annoying, however it might also be worth to give a try if you think you the upgrades are worth it.I've only have it for less than a week so I hope it's just a small curve before getting used to the clicky buttons.Ver más

Lifelong Gamer, this is the best controller I've ever used.

Let's get it out of the way, I've been playing video games for over 35 years and this takes the top spot for the best controller I've ever used.What makes it so good? It's hard to quantify exactly one thing, because it really just does everything right. I don't mean that as hyperbole, this controller is literally good at anything you'd ask it to do as a controller.Start with the overall feel and ergonomics. The last time I felt this comfortable and actually noticed how comfortable a controller felt and it wasn't kind of just there, but you noticed how good it felt, you'd have to go back to the original XBox 360 controller design, which kind of just changed the game. While the G7 pro isn't as revolutionary and a game changer as that, it sticks to the tried and true feel from that family of design and feel and just perfects it. Both from the actual shape of the controller, as well as the quality of the materials (such as the grips and plastic material), this is gaming design: perfected.But go beyond that and it's not simply just the ergonomics and comfort of holding the controller, but also the satisfaction and sustained use of actually using the controller. I heard about the new trend with better sticks that didn't wear down over time and get worse, with the Hall Effect using magnets more than physically touching elements, but the TMR technology on this takes it even further and these sticks are an absolute dream both for precision and for comfort.The same level of quality and design extends to the triggers and top buttons which are excellently designed for feel and accuracy. But heck, this even goes onto the buttons on the controller face. The sticks and triggers being designed better with the new tech, that's obvious, but I really didn't think I'd actually need the extra step of design for mechanical switches onto the buttons... but once you've used them and felt the difference, you understand it. It's so satisfying compared to what I knew before for my controllers.If you stopped there, this might still be a 5 out of 5 controller if it was priced reasonably.... but it doesn't just stop there. This controller is your controller, and Gamesir gives you every opportunity to let you execute that philosophy. The customization options on the G7 Pro are actually insane. From switching the triggers to full-motion to "button-style" (like the Playstation controller) actuation with a handy switch on the back, to extra buttons on the top of the controller and the back (which also feature handy toggles to turn off), to a removable face plate which I assume could be for customization but more obviously, to switch one of the the 3 available D-Pad options.... this is ridiculous how much value and personalization is packed into one product box.The customization extends to the PC software which is the best controller software I've ever used, period. You can fully remap the buttons as well as - and this is big - change the input and actuation for the triggers and joysticks. You can adjust how much the buttons react to the level of feedback, including customizable graphs so that it can ramp up or down with input however is best for you. And this include multiple quick-swappable profiles so you can make different custom inputs and styles for different games or feels. And the interface is fully easy to read and navigate, so nothing seems over your head with knowing what you're doing.There's likely a lot of less obvious things that don't even come to mind because they're so intuitive and automatic and well executed that you don't even think about it. You could start with the connectivity, which never once lost connection in over 12 hours a day of extended use. And I think there was some weekend days pushing 16 or 18 hours and the battery never once died and had to be recharged. It did actually get close once, which I was able to tell from the indicator on the controller. But hey, Hades 2 will do that to you, it's pretty easy to play that game allllll day.Another maybe under the radar thing is the included dock and ultra high quality long USB [braided] cable and wireless receiver. Everything feels and looks extremely quality-made. The dock is really extra nice and deserves attention. It fits the controller perfect and has LED indicators for when you initially put the controller there to charge, and sits nicely and attractively on your desk or wherever. You can even enable an option in the software to just automatically power on and connect the controller when you pick it up from the dock, since the dock has a compartment where you can connect the wireless receiver, so it's kind of an all in one thing, from just one USB port.I actually can't even believe after using it for the time that I have now (about 3 months) that the G7 Pro is priced how it is. I've seen some expensive controllers before, as well as some seemingly cheap first party ones from Microsoft and Sony which seem like an okay deal, but turn out not to be since they aren't made to last and have to be replaced more often then you'd like. This is not only my favorite controller I've ever used (and have been playing since 1990, when I was 2), but the price and value is kind of like.... tooo good. It is an absolute buy. Even if a new controller isn't a need, at this price, even if it's just a want, you'll see after you buy it why it's money well spent.**Extra Icing on the cake: Amazing customer support**I actually had a very minor issue with my original controller where it still performed pretty much 100% correct, but one of the trigger modes only worked one way. It worked in button mode, but not in trigger mode.So I reached out to Gamesir customer support, got a pretty timely response email from them, and went back and forth with a couple other emails to hammer out details and provide evidence the controller wasn't working as designed (even though it was still entirely usable and had only one minor issue).... and eventually they ended up sending me a fully-new replacement controller at no cost to me at all.And I can't confirm it would always be this way, but they told me I can do with the old one as I please and I do not have to return it to them at all. The person(s) I talked to was excellent as well. Always responding quickly and clearly and helping me with each step in the process. This is truly an amazing company and this is the best controller ever.

I bought the GameSir G7 Pro to replace my two-year-old PS5 controller after it developed severe stick drift. I intentionally waited about a month before reviewing it so I could comment on heavy-game use rather than first impressions.For reference, I primarily use this controller on Arch Linux through Steam, mostly for Rocket League. Linux compatibility is not officially advertised, but my experience has been surprisingly good. Steam immediately recognizes the controller, automatically applies the correct profile, and it generally reconnects without issue when removed from or returned to the charging dock. The only quirk I've encountered is that it will occasionally reconnect as a generic Xbox controller after leaving the dock. Re-docking it once has consistently resolved the issue.In terms of ergonomics, the controller feels very similar to an Xbox Elite Series 2. It's perhaps slightly lighter, but the overall shape and comfort are excellent during longer gaming sessions.The Hall Effect thumbsticks are the standout feature. They feel precise, responsive, and have required no calibration adjustments during my month of use. If you're buying this controller to avoid the stick drift that affects many first-party controllers, this is arguably its biggest selling point.The triggers are smooth, and the adjustable hair-trigger locks are a welcome addition for games that benefit from quicker inputs. I haven't personally used the rear paddle buttons enough to fairly evaluate them, but I do appreciate the dedicated screenshot button. Even under Linux, Steam and Arch Linux recognize it correctly.Button feel is generally excellent, although I do have one minor complaint: the ABXY buttons occasionally produce a noticeable squeak when pressed. It has become less pronounced as the controller has broken in, but it's still present. It doesn't affect gameplay, though some users may find it distracting.The D-pad works well in-game, although I've noticed it can occasionally overshoot menu navigation, particularly when moving left and right through UI elements. It's a minor annoyance rather than a functional problem.After one month of regular use, I'm very happy with the purchase. At around $79, it offers excellent value, especially considering the inclusion of Hall Effect sticks, a feature that first-party PlayStation and Xbox controllers still largely lack.
