The Easiest Printer Setup I’ve Ever Had
I bought this to replace an older printer that constantly had paper feeding issues, and I couldn’t be happier with the upgrade.Setup was incredibly easy. The printer walked me through each step, so I never had to guess what to do next. Installing the ink was simple, and the menus are intuitive.I also love the companion app. Being able to print directly from my phone has been much more convenient than I expected, and everything connected without any headaches.Print quality has been great, and it’s much faster than my old printer.Overall, I’m very pleased with this printer. If you’re looking for something that’s easy to set up, simple to use, and just works, I’d definitely recommend it.Ver másVer menos

Excellent and Surprising Printer for the money.
I have a Laserjet workhorse for all black and white printing and scanning but I need to print a few (Maybe 10) color prints a month. My old 10 year old Brother could not print colors correctly and when I saw this on the Prime Day sale for $90 I read the reviews and jumped at it. It was the best $90 I've spent in a long time.I've only had it 2 days so this review is about installation and initial impressions. I use Windows 11. I unpacked it; powered it on; installed the cartridges and it was in setup mode. Brother has a mobile app and a browser URL for setup. I chose to do it on my desktop with Chrome. It opened right up and was very intuitively easy to walk through. I was going to use wireless and the setup walked me through that and there were no issues with the wireless install. (i read reviews where it is a struggle .. seems to me maybe poor signal or operator error). It was a seamless experience and in no time it printed the test pages and calibration flawlessly. The setup then downloaded the software drivers and apps; installed it; upgraded the firmware and it was ready to go. Less than 15 minutes start to finish. I printed single and double sided from Windows in black and white and color and all prints were surprisingly clear. The black was crisp and dark. I then tested the scanner which actually scanned teh page very fast (much faster than Brother 2750 Laserjet) and the images were crisp and speckle free.I was very pleasantly surprised at the whole thing including how good this was for the price. I cannot yet comment on ink usage of course (I will update later) but it comes with starter cartridges. Starter means they are d esigned to help initial setup and install and they did not seem to compromise on ink. See the screenshot of the ink volume in the status monitor showing 200 pages which might be a stretch.All in all, I recommend this highly IF you don't set your expectations too high and remember the value for money.Ver másVer menos

Not bad for a Brand I've never Used.
This is my first time Dealing with anything Brand name Brother.This is a descent printer. it works like it should with minimal issues. I'm usually a HP or Cannon kinda guy, but the Price was right and thought the price was right for the individual ink kits.Paper capacity is descent, ink life kinda sucks, each cartridge only last around 100 paper that is IF you set up ink saving technology on it otherwise it burns up the ink pretty quick and sucks it down.I've been having a few issues with paper jamming but it is quite easy to remove the jam paper.Is it reliable, Yes for the most part I'd give it 90% reliable and that's only because of the Ink Consumption as well as the Jamming issue it has.it gets the job done, it's faster printing on ink saving mode vs regular mode, I mostly bought this also for the capability to print 8.5 x 14 cause I've got documents I need the longer paper for for my Job and this one was capable of doing so.Ver másVer menos

Affordable, Capable Everyday Printer
I ordered this based on a friends recommendation to replace an HP that had quit after years of two kids through high school and college. Easy to set up right out of the box. Clear crisp prints and even accepts Avery sticky labels.

Affordable ink, compact, does the job
I bought this printer because a review site said it is very cost-efficient for ink. It is affordable, easy to set up, compact, and does the job it’s supposed to. At one point it wasn’t communicating properly with my computer but the Brother app was able to fix it immediately. Of note, this is not a photo printer, and I don’t know how well it would work for high-volume printing, but it’s perfect for home use if you don’t print often and hate spending a fortune on ink.Ver másVer menos

A great printer-if you don't chuck it out of the window before set up!!!
Ok....an HONEST review from someone who IS NOT a technological genius.After my 12 year old printer kicked the bucket, I finally bit the bullet and my husband decided that this was the printer that he wanted. He looked at probably 2 dozen before he chose this one. Because I'm writing a story and now printing, we wanted a good quality without going commercial use.Firstly. This printer took WAY longer to ship and get to us than we wanted. Then the UPS driver who brought it up to us (as we were at the door coming home when he arrived) DROPPED it on the porch and left. (Wish id had it on my camera but where I was standing blocked it, totally ticked my husband off). Anyways, there didn't appear to be damage so we figured lets try to set it up because we didn't wanna wait 2 weeks sending it back if it wasn't broken.Set up WAS THE MOST ANNOYING THING IN THE WORLD. Seriously, the way to set up this printer is the most unfriendly, ridiculously complicated process ever! We have to use a USB cable with it because my laptop isn't able to connect wirelessly and even with a USB cable it took us almost an HOUR just to get the dang thing so it was connected and downloaded to the laptop. And the brothers website to download everything was absolutely a pain to navigate!Once we got it done, then you have to go thru this overly complicated and stupid process of aligning the printing paper.Finally, I was able to print. Now this, the printer is AMAZING at. It prints BEAUTIFULLY. I printed off an 1,888 page story (yes, you read that right one thousand, eight hundred and eighty eight pages) and this thing did not jam up once!Now aside from being a pain to connect, you will want LOTS of extra ink, and I highly advice you buy the XL cartridges, especially if you have a lot of printing to do, because I'll tell you I went through 3 ink cartridges in just the first 900 pages. But the quality of the print is beautiful, and looks very nice and professional. I love that it stops when its too low to print out anymore instead of trailing off and blurring out and running out of ink like my old one did, that way its not wasting paper that I have to reprint.Ver másVer menos

You get what you pay for
IT Professional here. What a total piece of garbage. But it's cheap, and it works, sort of.User interface developers should be fired. Immediately. Some options you get stuck in and literally have to power off and back on to get out of.I did manual set up. Trying from a mobile devices forced wps. Had to On/Off, select manual set up and go from there. Still had to go through the menu after "set up" to enable and connect to Wi-Fi via the ssid and password. It wasn't part of their brilliant set up plan to actually connect to anything.My android hates Brother apps. Nothing worked. Used Mopria to [finally] print something.After waking up from my nap (because the printing was so slow) I had my document successfully printed.Quality is passable. Nothing I'd hand to a client or executive or overloard. But it's great for a "Please flush the toilet" sign for the kids.I really wasn't expecting much, cos cheap, but Brother still managed to infuriate me during set up with getting stuck in loops with on/off for remediation, plus endless navigation and button pushing to enter a wifi password beyond all lowercase letters. I need a drink.I honestly had no idea a Brother product could be made this badly. If it makes it a year, I'll be impressed.Did I mention all the interesting noises it makes? Lots of weird noises when its printing. Idk, man. It's just not normal.I'll follow up if I find more annoying things about it. Copy was pretty quick and decent.3 stars is generous. It prints. It copies. It's cheap. It's supposed to scan stuff but into what I have no idea. Personally, I wouldn't let it send anything to my phone or laptop. I'm going to banish it to the guest wifi.Day 2: Omg, it does get worse. Just login to the web interface and turn off direct IP print, and ipv6, and everything else that's on by default that you don't want or need. Options are not in the UI on the front.I've tried multiple apps, had to manually add the printer via IP address. It works (prints) then doesn't. Available, then not. Wondering now if my phone thinks it's a security threat and keeps terminating the connectivity. Laptop printing seems okay.Ver másVer menos

Great value! High end mini machine!
Bought on sale. Does scanning straight to smart phone. And prints both sides. It's like having a large commercial unit in your house. A little tricky with the wifi set up and my laptop / PC is proving a little challenging. But with the app scanning to my phone then emailing works slick. I'm glad I bought on sale. Great value. This is my first Brother printer and loving it. Compared to years of Cannon pixmas the brother is superior for not much different price point. Just way more capable. It sure downstairs on low power mode outta site and mind just waiting for a signal.Ver másVer menos

No recomendable, dejo de imprimir bien a los 6 meses
Desafortunadamente a 6 meses de haber adquirido la impresora ya no imprime bien los colores, independientemente que se le han hecho limpiezas programadas en la misma impresora. El uso era para casa por lo que el nivel de impresiones era bajo No recomendable

Lasts a long time.
Easy to set up and use. General cleaning maintains quality of printing. This is my second machine. Previous machine lasted 15 years. Great value for price.
