Should not be sold on Amazon.

I don't understand all the 5 star reviews! This printer worked for maybe 15 minutes. After a small learning curved, figured out how to print. On the second day, the touchscreen completely broke down. The touchscreen was responsive but the it was shifted so you had to guess where to touch in the screen to make the correct letter work. Additionally the printer quality when from decent to horrible. Worst than the 80's dot matrix printers, no matter what setting you put the quality of the printer. Horrible horrible unit.Ver más

Impressive features but expect a learning curve

This printer is packaged in a hard-sided case with storage compartments for all of the components of this printer and accessories. It has a solid feel and appears to be well made.I got this printer to primarily label projects and such in my wood shop. I was concerned that the ink might bleed on wood and be difficult to read. Thurns out I had nothing to fear. The print was sharp and clear on every species of wood I tried which included various hard woods, grains and paint-grade softer species such as pine. While this handheld printer boosts some really impressive features, I found input and formatting was not very intuitive and a bit clunky. The instructions are rather superficial, and a few features have unusual labeling, a couple are missing entirely. For example, "Bit" is the number of digits in the number labeling function while "Supply" is the desired number of leading zeros. There are some built-in symbols but those with words are written in Chinese and not the selected language. Since images can be uploaded and printed, suitable ones with your preferred language should be available with a bit of work. There is a guide provided for printing on bottles and irregular surfaces. It is made of stamped galvanized sheet metal with fairly sharp edges. I used a fine file to blunt the edges. I was amazed at how sharp and well it printed on irregular surfaces. Within moments of printing, the ink is smudge free even on plastic and glass. It took a little practice to swipe the printer evenly by hand to get a good image, but I got pretty good at it.In all, I am very impressed with this printer and have been making good use of it in my shop.Ver más

Versatile printing

This handheld printer isn't perfect, but it does work well enough for certain situations. Be aware that there is a bit of a learning curve in getting it to work the way you might want. I highly recommend watching the training videos for it as those will help you get started if you have never used a device like this before. Using the touch screen to create what you want to print is a little tedious, but fortunately you can save your work and use it for future templates. The biggest limitation of this model is the print height. The 1/2" height makes for some pretty small QR codes. Though the ones I have tried all come out readable. The same goes for the barcodes, as I have yet to figure out if there is a way to expand the spacing of the bars out. I do like that you can create multi-pass prints using the paragraph functionality. However, it can be difficult to get the prints positioned exactly where you want on the print surface.I also appreciate the fact that this handheld printer comes with a relatively decent hard storage case. While this printer supports remote control and remote data input, I have not found any place where how to use this functionality is actually explained. The plastic housing and build quality of the printer is fine for personal use, but I would not expect it to hold up very well in an industrial environment. Overall, this handheld printer does work for my needs.Ver más

This Little Printer Made My Labeling Jobs Way Easier....And I am Loving it

I picked up the handheld inkjet printer because I needed something portable for marking boxes, cables, small parts and random gear around my workspace. I was kinda tired of using stickers that peel off or writing stuff by hand that ends up smudging. This thing turned out to be super handy and way more flexible than I thought when I first saw it. The setup was pretty simple. I charged it up, popped in the ink cartridge, and the screen walked me through the basics. The menu is pretty clear, even if a couple words look a bit funny in translation, but nothing confusing. I was printing test lines in like five minutes. The touchscreen is responsive and the icons make sense once you tap around a bit. The print quality is really good for something this small. The quick drying ink actually dries fast, like a couple seconds and it is set. I tried it on cardboard, plastic bins, metal shelves, and even a smooth PVC pipe and it stuck on all of them. No smearing unless you drag your finger across it right away. The text looks sharp and the barcodes scan perfectly. I printed a QR code just to see if it would work and my phone read it instantly. The print height adjustment is super useful. I used the smaller size for labeling cables and the bigger size for marking shipping boxes. It is nice not having to switch tools for different jobs. The machine glides pretty smooth too. You just slide it across the surface and it prints as you move. Took me a couple tries to get the speed right but after that it felt natural. The battery life is solid. I used it on and off through a whole afternoon labeling stuff in the garage and it still had plenty of charge left. The ink cartridge lasts longer than I expected too. I printed a bunch of test lines, dates, and logos and it barely moved the ink level. One thing I really liked is how portable it is. I carried it around the shop and just printed stuff right where it was sitting. No dragging boxes to a printer or messing with labels. It fits in one hand and the grip feels comfortable. The build feels sturdy enough that I dont worry about it getting bumped around, The ability to print logos and batch numbers is a big plus. I added a simple logo for my gear and it printed clean every time. The date stamping feature is super handy for marking storage bins and parts that need rotation. I even used it to label some woodworking pieces and it held up fine on the raw wood. The quick drying ink is a lifesaver. I printed on a glossy plastic bin and expected it to smear but it dried fast and stayed put. I wiped it with a cloth later and it didnt budge.Overall this handheld printer made my labeling and coding jobs way easier. It is portable, easy to use, prints clean, and works on a ton of surfaces. If you need something flexible for marking boxes, tools, parts, or anything around a workshop or small business, this thing is a great pick.
